Anyone knows if it's possible to disable the cell service?
I just checked the battery status and this cell standby service has the highest usage.
i dont use a simcard or intend to use it as a phone so i dont need it wasting precious battery

Root your device an install. " My Android Tools" from play store,
and close all unwanted service, receiver, activity, provider etc.

The wifi s running fine now, had to reset router, even the grainy screen has gotten a lot better over time, screen burn in ?, best tablet I've owned

No don't give up hope, Remember it is only half a month late, they could just be ironing out the last few bugs before release, its what I'm hoping anyway, TBH I have never known A Chinese tab manufacturer to bring out their software on time, It was the same from my Ainol Flame , Pipo M6, Aoson M33..

If you bought a Chinese device hoping for long support you simply made a wrong choice, genelly after 6 months they stop support for their devices. Cube is quite longer on that, but keep in mind that in this specific case if mediatek do not release source code for their SoC for the newest Android release, Cube cannot do anything!

Source code for this chip should have been released as plenty of mt6752 phones are on lollipop, including my jiayu s3 & my wife's K3 note... seems more likely these chinese tablet manufacturers are focusing on windows 'productivity' tablets... usually by now manufacturers will be announcing or hyping their next gen pure android tablets based on the next gen chip, but strangely none of them are...

I'm not so desperate on getting lollipop since an optimized kitkat works just as well, but looks like we'll never get a fix for the overclock/freeze problem.

My old cube U65GT latest firmware is dated april 2015 so your newer T9 cannot be abandoned so early...

The new Cube T8 has LP 5.1. Surely that is good news. Maybe soon for the T9!😁

Sad but I think Microsoft + Intel gave chinese manufacturers good incentives to focus on window tablets... there's no teasers or leaks whatsoever from ANY manufacturer about a next-gen android tablet... probably pull their attention away from upgrades to existing tablets as well... I suppose the best chinese android fans will get in the future is dual boot tablets...

I've been playing around with Cube's i7 with Remix OS. A very nice tablet...11.6" screen. But Cube has not upgraded to a Lollipop OS for it yet....still based on KitKat. Otherwise, all new tablets I'm seeing are dual boot or just Windows. My Teclast and Onda dual boot's are very nice, though. I like the Onda better, but the Teclast has Lollipop.

One thing that ive noticed with the Cube is that it does seem to be a bit quiet when listening to music etc through the headphone jack, I do have superuser access , so is there any way of increasing it ?
