i think its very unlikely we will see more than a 65mb connection of this device,would be nice to see more but the alot of the spec from the chinese suppliers/factory seems to be made up.

Sure it is.

Its the smb protocol that aint fast engough.

U need to run a nfs server on ur pc.

Then mount nfs shares via busybox.

The nfs protoctol is much faster and suitable for moviestreaming HD

For the scandinavian people (and probably everyone else as well) who need an external keyboard layout to work with non latin characters, an app called External Keyboard Helper pro works flawlesly and as an added bonus it is capable of hiding the softkeyboard. Unfortunately it's not free, but so far it's the only app I've seen that works perfectly with external 2.4 GHz devices. I am using a Deltaco TB-220 multimedia keyboard with touchpad and Finnish layout here and I've tested Ms and Logitech keyboards wit the app as well and I can confirm all worked well with scandinavian characters / layout.

But if you have a bluetooth keyboard an app called Blue Input will do the trick for free !

I have no problems with mu MK808, but wont more

Bought my MK808 4.1.1 from in4dealz.com an get it about 2 weeks ago. Still the stock rom(rk3066 26-09-2012) on it and not not flashed yet. Used it and tested it since and found no problem at all Connected to the TV and use logiteck mouse and keyboard that works. From stick to my wireless router is approximately 6 meters and has no drop in signal. 100% at all times. No heat problem. No freze or other funny things. The only thing maybe the fps is low on video. Question is what to do and where? Should I leave it as it is. Shud I flash it? If I should flash it it, what then? Stock room or Finless or someone else? Reading that others getting WIFI issues after the flash or other new problems that occurred. Like really this stock rom and wil rather not be left with a bad stick just to get a root access or just to have flash it. Some good advice out there that can make my MK808 better or equally well with newer softwere? Who has the pure stock firmwere or where can I download it? Finless room I know where is It's not easy to be a 100% happy owner of a MK808, but I am

MK808 11/08 4.1.1 ROM

Just read the post from MK808 reseller on Taobao, they said they are uploading new ROM now and url will be up tomorrow. Not sure if it's the same ROM with previous 10/26. I will post it once I got it.

according to the post, new ROM:
* improve wifi connection and signal.
* improve webpage performance?
* improve 3D effect (no idea what is this?)

Droidmote and uinput.ko

I just received my MK808 and flashed the Finless 1.5a ROM. I'm trying to get Droidmote to work but so far without success. The Droidmote FAQs indicate that the uinput.ko module has to be loaded for the server to work. I have search the file system with Root Explorer and the uninput.ko is not present on my device. From previous posts, it seems some have been able to get Droidmote working. Is there an uinput.ko available How did those of you with working Droidmote get it to work?

Youtube app is lagging or at least the sound is stooping at every 10-15 seconds, even if you-tube is buffered !, I have to mention that I upgraded to Finless 1.5 and also to 1.5A ....

Using Finless 1.5A all i did was install the server on the 808, client on my SGS2, open the server on the 808 and go into options


I checked Startup on boot, and Autohide on boot, which were originally unchecked, then backed out of that, pressed the big green button and got something like



and, using this pic as example i then opened droidmode client on SGS2, menu -> connect -> put in 192.168.0.4, clicked connect and that's it, working fine without any messing.

Installed it on Thursday, so since it hasn't been updated since 30th sept "the latest". Can get you a version number tomorrow if needed, I presume there will be one in the about screen or info screen etc.

buying paid app is not available in my country . so i only get the last version of client . and server is 2.7.3 that i can find
it cant work in my mk808.

Thanks MadduckUK. Based on your images I realized I was using an older version of Droidmote. After updating it worked.
