You're just on factory firmware with apps to get the full effect you need to flash the rom for all of its glory!! I did not have to touch any of the kodi settings and it runs perfect. If your box is running like you want then don't fix it.

OK, then based on your advise to LEAVE IT ALONE as long as I liked how it's working; I'm in the process of installing the new ROM right now. The little Android guy is churning away as I type here.

You will be pleased I was running v1 and loved it but this v3 is just the bees knees for what I'm using the box for!

All running well, but....Even though the Video Hardware Accelerators are shown as active in Kodi, in fact I believe they are all turned off via Super user and the 666 , and as shown in the message when you first use Kodi. The Video processors are gone when you go to the settings while watching a video. Even the Amazon Fire TV stick offers some processing options. I quickly determined that you can unclick all but the libstagefright accelerator, and some processing is restored,i.e. nearest neighbor, and the ability to turn on/off interlace. For some content, the additional flexibility can give you a somewhat better defined video result, at least to my eyes, on my TV My i7 PC has quite a few options, but I usually use Lancos 3 optimized when some processing is needed.
The picture is a tad better via the PC, in those few instances i played with to compare. I'll try clicking on and off the other accelerators and see what happens.
The rest is Great! I can't tell a huge difference between the stock and the new ROM, but this is maybe faster(?) and lot cooler! Especially when it boots.

Thanks for the great work! I'm only having two issues with this ROM and wanted to see if others are experiencing the same. I have not add these issues with other ROMs on my M8N.

1) System Update - when clicked it brings me back to the home screen. I use this to update the remote firmware.
2) CEC Control - my TV remote functions when it's turned on, however when I hit the power button on the remote both the TV and M8 turn off even when the "One key power off" button is off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have a few new questions that pertains to recovery mode. Can I simply redo the Mega-Tron flash process? Can i recover to the original ROM? How?

Hi, i had a quick play with version 3 , on my android m8 ott, the wifi it picked up both 2.4ghz and 5ghz, but first tried 5ghz and gave failed, 2.4ghz connected fine but after 10mins no internet access even if it says connected, so tried 5ghz again and connected this time but after a while no internet access

this is far the best rom i tried , is there anyway to get wifi to work ? without having to use homeplugs ?

I tried this rom earlier. I have a m8 OTT box also. I never got far to trying the wifi to fail but in the normal android mode (non xbmc) the screen just goes blank after about 10 mins of usage say on youtube or some video and then comes back to a reboot mode after about 20 mins or so ? this happens every time. I have changed the display to 720 same issue as well? Thsi is happening 2 of my m8 boxes. Not sure if its the box or the rom

Still playing with the ROM and so far so good. I have a question though as I didn't see anybody mentioned this before. I just installed V3 on the M8 and I can't get the file browser to write to the external SD. I even tried SDFIX apk but still no luck. Anybody else has this issue or is it just me? Thanks.

group gid=”media_rw” /
to the platform. xml file and still can't write to external sd. If this issue will be fixed V3 will be the best rom there is for the M8!
P. S. i'm very curious what the mystery is that will transform my M8 and when it comes!?

Thank you. Now i know i am not alone with this issue. I also tried the platform.xml without any success. What is weird is that total commander that came pre-installed with v3 does write to the sd after requesting to remount the card. So maybe the issue is with how is the card mounted.

To save other members time, Uninstalling kodi/xbmc and reinstalling didn't fix the issue for me. Also applying justme remote patch didn't help either. Other than this issue and writing to the sd card problem, this rom is fantastic
