    Hi,

Slowry, this kernel it's with OC?

I found a problem with the installation of large game (1/2 GB). are installed in internal storage not in the NAND Flash without leaving the tablet space.

The brightness now works to perfection.

No stock, here is a bundle of OC (and new brightness) kernels.

            New edit for clarification !

I will try to explain the new behavior, I must admit I did not immediatly understood.
If you don't want to read boring technical things just read point 1. Partition usage, others should also read point 2.

            1. Partition usage

If you want a lot of space for user(s) data, app, private storage you have to choose parameter12 for example and you will have 12 Go for user and the remaining 2 Go for a shared partition called NAND FLASH.
With this rom your tablet is a mobile device when you connect it to a PC (like recent camera). Access is made through MTP protocol and the device can be remove without mount/unmount.

            2. Some technical

In the 4.4 multiuser google scheme first internal SD partition is like "a profil folder for user" and external (SD, USB) is storage for all.

Thus you have access to a private emulated space in internal memory, external SD is world-readable.

To have a compatibility with older scheme and some app(?), internal memory can (should ?) have a partition that act as external flash storage.

            Let's take an example :

If you flash a 16Go tablette with parameter4 file (4 like 4Go for user(s) space !), you will have :

internal sd card : divide in 2 parts (system is backed in internal memory of course but "hidden", approx 800Mo)

-> a 4 Go private user(s) space called SDCARD (or internal_memory, emulated 0), this is app data storage just like before 4.4.
            -> a 10 Go "fake" external partition called NAND FLASH (or internal_sd) that's "world-readable space" n°1
            external_sd if present : world-readable space n°2
usb storage if present : world-readable space n°3
            ...
So in this case the private internal_memory space is smaller than the external memory NAND FLASH ! And we expect the opposite, of course.

Now, with this 4.4 scheme, you have to choose a big parameter file to have big private space (even if you use it as single user).

The remaining NAND FLASH can be used to store shared data (don't forget you are in a multiuser env) or TWRP backups for example just like the true external SD.

Why some 4.4 rom doesn't follow this scheme ?

I know that someone choose to not follow google rules when they enable multiuser mode with a patched framework (no emulated device only physical, old usb storage access through mounted device and perhaps less privacy ?)
Some devs made probably a different implementation of multiuser support than google.

            Am I wrong ? I learn every day !

the truth is that this operation is more logical than the previous, but is a total change in performance and concept over previous versions.

So I think the most logical distribution would be 10/14 Gb for the system and other exchange if you use multi-user or 16GB for single user.

              We all learn every day!!!

Good, good, facking good!!! Thanks Slowry for your wonderful works. I install your ROM and my table is living a second life. I have no problem with the brightness of the tablet, for me is all ok!I tested it a bit and I think that everything is very very good, very much better that with JB. Thanks again!
I have the left speaker that sounds bad, someone can tell me where I can buy a pair to replace current?

Some users in Spain want to thank the dedication and effort Slowry that have an operational and functional tablet.

Do you have a PayPal account to invite you a beer?

Perhaps you have a different sound card. You have to post a dmesg file just before reboot.

                        example :
                        adb shell dmesg > C:\dmesg.txt

                                I did it with syslog.apk , so:
                                dmesg.log
