Sent you a PM. (The issue may be off this thread's topic and I didn't want to confuse anybody.) Thanks for your patience!!

OK In summary based on your PM.

        Summary
You have flashed the final ROM kit but with the stock recovery and the tab starts with correct formatting of partitions etc.

        New issue
google play not working giving an "Error 921". Upon research you found that others have had this issue, and have cleared data and cache from the Apps screen in settings for both Play and Google Framework, removed the google account from the tab and loaded it back up again, but still get the error.

I'll look into this and see if I can shed any light on this, did you erase IDB?

Doing a full re-flash with stock recovery may be worth a try.

Your summary is accurate. Yes, I did a IDB erase before I flashed. Right now it is sitting with a full re-flash with a stock recovery. (I took the RC1 files, but put in the stock recovery.img and did the full flash with that). This step took care of the memory issue, but this is when (coincidentally) I started experiencing the 921 error. Now that it has been flashed this way, I wanted to know if I should do a flash (no erase IDB) with ONLY the RC1 recovery.img checked in the RKTool.

Are you saying doing ANOTHER full re-flash with stock recovery may be worth a try?

I'm just trying to follow directions precisely.

Go to you System Settings -> Accounts & Sync -> go to your google account and remove it. Then open your Play Store App and add the account from there.
If that does not work then yes try a full flash again with stock recovery. We will leave CWM for the moment.

Installing Petrus's rebbot app will come in useful at some stage.

I did exactly that from XDA. Even cleared data and cache.

Now I get "Error retrieving information from server: [RPC:S-5:AEC-0]"

EDIT: Seems to be flipping back and forth between this and the error 921.

Upon further reading at XDA, it might be a server side issue that may resolve on its own. Do you think it's worth another flash? I literally just did the full flash again with stock recovery.

On a side-note, since I've been testing the ROM, I've noticed in my google account page that I have 3 tablets in my account (one for each major flash?). They are all this same tablet. Could it be too many devices registered with the same/similar configurations that is causing this error? I haven't been able to find out how to "remove" a device from the account, only the account from the device. Don't know if it's noteworthy, but I figured you could decide if it was or not.

                Comment

each time you do a full flash a new id is created that is used to register with google play, hence the multiple accounts. Titanium backup can be used to manage this.

I'vr also seen suggestions of rebooting the router.

                    Ok,

I think I got the play store fixed. Silly issue, really. Here's what I did (from XDA):

                    1) click the "Settings" icon on the home screen

                    2) scroll down to the "DEVICE" section on the left of the page and then click "Apps"

                    3) at the top right of the page are 4 tabs : "DOWNLOADED", "ROM DISK", "RUNNING" and "ALL"

                    4) click "ALL"

                    5) scroll down the list and find "Google Services Framework" then click it

                    6) on this page click "Force Stop" followed by clicking "Clear Data"

                    7) switch off the tablet by holding down the power button for a few seconds and then restart it.

The only difference between what I did before and this was that I didn't "Force stop". I should have realized that the Force was needed.

So, recovery is basically just CWM? Shall I just leave things be right now or....?

                        Re: NEXT7D12F

For the moment enjoy the tab, install some apps including terminal and Petrus's reboot app. With the reboot app see if you can reboot to recovery and flash mode.

If all is good we can try swapping out to cwm (clockwork recovery) in a few days.

Oh and well done for sorting play.

Thanks so much Supersport! The tab handles great. I'll keep playing with it.

                            Spontaneous Reboots

So all is working well so far. Playstore loads fine, storage is good, but the only thing I'm experiencing is spontaneous reboot.

Hasn't happened while I'm actively using it, but when it's sitting on my desk, I'll hear it reboot. I've seen it do this... blank screen seemingly happy, then reboot splashscreens. Doesn't hang. Happens a few times an hour, at least. I can't find any pattern to it.

I also find that if I try to shut it down, it won't stay off sometimes; rebooting itself right after powerdown.

                            Thoughts?

Sorry was out last evening. Do you have the scar in when these resesr happen? Can you test for a day without the sdcard to see if you get the same behavior.
