This fix is directly from Herman Chen from rockchip.

You can do the libstagefright.so yourself super easy!

Your rooted so just copy that over to /system/lib and set permissions. Done!
You do not need a rom to get this.

Hi bob and thanks for your answer, i tried that and when the device didnt booted, it just got to the boot logo and stayed there for 2 hours until it disconnected and flashed it again...

My devices is a rikomagic mk802 III if it mathers.

I would like to use libstagefright.so too, but I can´t finish with bricked device.

but I have another stupid question - how to get CWM into my MK802III with Finless ROM 1.7?
Or is already integrated?

I think the stock recovery might work with the zip. so try it. Worst that will happen is recovery will tell you invalid update. If that happens you need to instal Fun's CWM. You can see how to do that here:

I have tried "reboot to recovery" option in reboot app from Finless ROM 1.7, but after restart device I see only "dead android" - https://www.box.com/s/oj4oycvy719boarh9f76.
So I guess, I need to install Fun's CWM.

Hi to everyone on the forum. This is my first post so be gentle. I have a Mk809ii device that was runnng on finless 1.5 rom. I tried to copy libstagefright.so to the lib folder from the XBMC forum but as a previous poster had already discovered when I rebooted the device it just sticks on the boot up screen. There is a rest button on the device and when held during power up the screen appears with a lying down droid.I was hoping it would put the device into flash mode but it doesn't appear so.

I have tried shorting pins 6/7 as per the MK809 recovery info but device still not recognised although the PC does make a sound as if a device is detected. Pleas could some help with any possible solutions as to how to recover the device. The procedure for shorting the pins implies , short pins 6/7 of flash chip, connect otg cable to pc and device (I presume to the data socket not power) leave pins shorted for 3-5 sec and device should now be found with unkown driver symbol. Am i doing this correctly. Sorry if this is in the incorrect forum but appears relavent to the libstagefright.so issue.

All up and running again on 1.5 rom, won't be trying the libstagefright file replacement again until confirmed working routine.

I've just flashed Finless 1.7a for Mx1, see other thread. I've got an R-Box MK809ii and wifi and BT working OK.
