Yes and some devices are more sensitive to noise or resistive connections than others.

The earlier devices had more hardware around the USB ports e.g. pull up and down resistors, capacitors, etc. We are seeing some of the clones and later hardware they removed those support components probably as a cost savings as they felt it may not be needed. Unfortunately as you see, there can be issues.

OK then if you used one of my kernels or my ROM in the readme should be an explanation of how to edit build.prop to change the DPI.

Here is what I said for 1.7

TIP FOR 1080 kernel USERS:
If you do not like the small icons on the desktop and small mouse pointer.
Use ES file explorer or another root file explorer and open build.prop
Find the line that says:
ro.sf.lcd_density=160
Edit this 160 to 240
Save and reboot. You icons should be larger like 720 now.

Thanks, by the way i tried yours 1.8 have trubble with WIFI and LAN, WIi wont work and LAN then it hang have to reboot as son i want to use LAN it hangs.

I edit the file but can not save or owerwrite, why?

Use ES File explorer
go into setting of ES file explorer and enable
root explorer
up to root
mount system RW

Mount system RW must be done or you wont be able to edit files in /system

libncurses.so not found

One it Webkey app has a built in terminal. On the official rom it works but on your it complains about libncurses.so no being in /system/xbin/bash not sure what all that is about but can you look into it as bash is a file and when opened it is full of code.

USB Ethernet On Boot

Hey all,

I just flashed my device with the 'iMito MX1 Finless 1.5 ROM Root Debloat init.d' and I'm loving it, thanks again!

However, I am now getting an issue with my USB Ethernet adapter, once the device has booted, my Ethernet connection is enabled and the MAC Address is present.. but, the lan configurations (IP Address) are not being set (0.0.0.0).

If I toggle the 'enable Ethernet' from off to on, the Ethernet configuration details are configured successfully.

Any ideas? Ideally I would prefer to have my device be accessible to the internet on boot rather than toggling the settings every time.

does anybody know where i can get the kernel source for this rom? i have Mk809II device with MT5931 Wifi, this ROM is working fine but i need to recompile the kernel with my touch screen, i used following AndrewDB kernel and manage to compile working kernel with my touch screen but there is no WIFI or Bluetooth working. if i can get kernel source which was used for this rom i can rebuild the kernel with my touch screen please?
