Arnova 10 G2 Custom ROM with Market3.4.4 by Finless Version 1.4

Couple of Niggles

Bob and everyone else involved, I salute you all on a great rom,thankyou.

I hope someone can help anawer a couple of niggling things with my 10g2,as follows:

BBCIplayer doesn't seem to work and I am sure it did once upon a time? (Think it has something to do with Flashplayer, I have tried rolling it back to 10.3 using link above but forcecloses like f11)

Can't install ****, says not compatable?

Skype also doesn't seem to work, no sound or video.

Many folks have a hard time rolling back once you install flash 11. I hate to tell you this but a reflash maybe needed.

Did you see my Google Play patch kit! It should fix that. Post is here in this forum as a sticky.

Latest skype will not work. Well know issue. Use this one:

That was an amazingly fast response, thankyou and do you know what? Your rom and installer are so quick a reflash is no problem in fact it's quicker than me typing.

Sorry Bob one more question, I use ES File explorer and Dolphin, I cant seem to write to sdcard, any thoughts?

First the sdcard must be foramtted as FAT32. Then if there are any file system errors the Arnova will mount it as RO. So plug the sdcard into a PC and using the disk tools do repair on it.

Realize if you DO NOT eject the sdcard from the PC using the eject function, or you do not unmount the sdcard from the arnova in settings menu, just taking it out will almost always corrupt the file system.

I got bbc iplayer going after having flash player 11.1 installed & rolling back to 10.3 by uninstalling it using the market/play store, i think you also need adobe air installed to make it work properly though

After restart everything working OK! What do you think, my Arnova have a hardware problems?
Your ROM is super, everything running faster and have 1 Gb memory for programms!
When we can try ROM by Finless Version 1.5?

yes its real but no touchscreen etc.
many drivers are still missing.
hey works with a external mouse.
no sound at all etc.
but its a beginning

sorry just quick browsed this post and have a question, does this rom or any future roms support the file system that lets you use files bigger than 4 gig?

i think im right in saying the stock rom doesnt allow you to put hd movies on a sd card as the file system wont allow anything over 4 gig yet most hd movies are over 4 gig.

pointless having a full hd screen if you cant put movies on it to watch.

Silly question but have you thought of trying dvd shrink and shrinking those files then putting them on your sd card

I have just finished resurrecting a supposedly "bricked" Arnova 10G2 with your V1.4 rom. I have 3g internet access (thanks Fenice57) via a Huawei E1762 dongle , so everything is looking good.

Just wondering if you ever contemplated connection of a usb gps stick /receiver so that a sat/nav app like Osmand (works with offline maps stored on SD card) could be used?
