MK808 "all models" Finless 1.7

Look in the package, there is. I'm updating using a Atom Netbook. The included drivers are for Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7. The Windows 8 drivers are in the Finless 2.1 ROM package.

Just read the instructions very precise and carefully (really!), many have succeeded with just that information including me.

in the drivers file it only has x64 or x86 what do i do if im running 32bit ???

First off, thanks for an awesome rom. But I'm having problems with the recovery.

Flashed CWM recovery then flashed finless 1.7, as my PC refuses to even try and see my mk808 when connected so the flashtool never worked. Now that it's flashed, I'd like to try a 1080p kernel.

Except, when booted to recovery, now there is no menu, just a droid with an exclamation mark. Without a menu to flash CWM or a kernel, I'm a little stuck.

Is there any way to get into a recovery menu or flash a CWM recovery from the OS? I've tried an update.zip finless rom, and just the cwm recovery rom as update.zip, but the in OS update tool just tells me that they are not valid updates.

When all else fails use the flash mode with the reset button.
Since you flashed once already, you have the PC drivers installed. DO NOT mess with that.

Holding the reset button in, plug in the USB cable to the OTG port. Windows will bong and the flash tool should see it. It should say at the bottom, as my instructions say, "Found RK Android Loader Rock USB". YOu are in flash mode.

Oh and another way for sure.... Since you flashed my ROM already, in the APPs list is a reboot tool. This will reboot to flash mode! Chose "reboot bootloader".
It should reboot to a black screen and the PC should see it.

Scratch all that. Found the missing link.

Anybody in the same place, get update.zip from this link, put it on a sd card, rename it update.zip, boot your mk808 and then pop the SD card in. Hit accept and it will flash CWM recovery.

Weird that this update.zip worked, whereas the original one i used for CWM recovery did not work.

Touchpad/Keyboard Connection Drops Randomly After updating to 1.7

Hello and thanks for all your efforts...

Ive been having these problems since updating to 1.7. I have reverted back to 1.6 and the problem persists.

The connection to my mini wireless touchpad/keyboard drops and I have to disconnect and reconnect the keyboard from the mk808 to get it working again. The same keyboard works on all my other computers. (Raspberry pi, PC, etc..) I didn't have the issue before the flash to 1.7c. Other input devices seem to work fine though, I'm just using a different keyboard now.

Anyone else experiencing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Zoom

To perform zoom, we have to press middle click and then scroll wheel while keep pressing it.
It is not very convenient to do this.

Can we click once to enable mouse zoom.
Then scroll wheel without keep pressing to perform zoom action.
Again click middle button to come out of zoom mode to normal mode.

Is it possible?

exteranl ext3 1 TB usb storage

The system mounts the external storage as sda1, but displays no files. It is formated ext3 and works on my linux boxes. Accessing network shares (ext3/ext4) using samba no problems.

I am having an issue with the download link - really slow download speeds and stops about 35 MB in. Is there an issue with the hosting server? Anyone have a mirror?

Dear Freaktab users,

I just bought a MK808B with with android 4.2, aparently my MK808B is not an original one, according to this thread it will be V1 clone because it uses mediatek wireless chip and has a heatsink (sunvel don't use heatsink right?)
The next step i do to my dongle is install a CWM recovery and then install this Finless 1.7 for V1 via CWM from Leolas thread (thanks to you too Leolas). It runs well on my MK808B but I have some difficulties and question below:
1. My bluetooth cannot be turned on with this FW, the switch always back to off, how to solve it?
2. My Antutu results were so low ranged from 5000 to 7800, never reach 8000, I've set the CPU to 1600 performance although it show only 1200, is it locked by your kernel?
3. My wifi tether function cannot turn on the wifi and suspend the wifi switch.
4. Is there any way to use droidmote on this FW? my droidmote server cannot be started.
5. Is there any 1080p kernel for this FW for my V1 clone?

USB attached printer (EPSON T88v) on MK808B with Finless 1.7

Ok, first impresions, mk808b "original" rk903 chipset, nice bootanimation wifi ok (as before) BT ok (as before), nice new launcher (I have to test it better), Rom feels smooth at 720 and 1080 kernel, I didn't notice before any hardware aceleration issues playing videos, they runs very well from local disk at 720p and 1080p with stock player and mxplayer, need to test in local net. I will post more in a few hours, if someone wants something to be tested pls say it and I will try to test it
