Your device booted up correctly with the different firmwares? And did the other firmwares fix the wifi problems?

    MK808B

Hi! I just got this MK808B ( I think it is!) horrible WIFI issues. Even with a repeater setup in the room, WIFI lags and disconnects. YouTube pauses. I tried different firmware and it keeps freezing now. any suggestions please.....?

This one hardly runs anything.. Can only get the default OS to load. None of the other custom roms work.

thanks mate. your upload fixed my bricked device. yeah i get terrible laggy performance on xbmc even on standard def stuff.. no builds of xbmc (lastest nightly, XAF or standard) makes any difference to the choppyness... thats why i bowled in and started flashing incompatible roms in the first place...

i tried flashing finless ap6210rom - system.img - seperately, it boots but no joy getting wireless to work even with a external wireless dongle..

i dual boot linux mint and no stranger to the terminal, if i had a decent guide i'd give adding the wireless drivers to the rom a shot but to be honest i'm just an advanced noob with no idea...

so heres hopeful to clever devs making this piece of s*** decent enough to play hd vids

A working ROM for this was just barely discovered... hardly enough time for a dev to have made anything custom for it don't you think...

    I did it this way...

Anyone have any instructions on how to apply the above?!
I saved the to items from the initial post.
Then I've put them in a folder together and using drag and drop of the backup.img on the executable imgRePackerRK.exe the .img archive will be extracted.
You then get a folder named: backup.img.dump
In this folder you will find all .img files you need for the flashing.
Then using ROM_Flash_Tool_137.exe you can flash them on your TV Stick by selecting each .img file in the appropriate field, or by pasting in an existing Finless package and renaming each .img file and RK30xxLoader(L)_V2.07_lock.bin file appropriately.
I used the Finless package MK808b-ap6210-Finless-2.1-ROM.zip
    Good luck!

Thanks buddy! I was able to restore my device also after several days of digging for a suitable ROM while I failed to make a backup trying to flash a custom ROM for this device.

this might be just what i am looking for.

I have tried many many different ROMS, and none of them have even made the device boot.

I will give this back a whirl tonight, fingers crossed.

Let me know if you have any success.
