NEW - iMito MX1/2 - Finless ROM 1.7

Went through the procedure, got an error while uploading new ROM to the device.

Now it boots with the Finless boot screen, goes black, then goes to a laying down android ...

Anything I can do to get it back? I don't think I have a reset button, or at least I can't see one.

When it boots now, my PC sees a new device called "Android" that it can't find a driver for. The other driver doesn't work.

You will need to do this procedure. Its the same board layout as the UG802 if you do not have a reset button.

Great advice, but unfortunately with the metal-shell MX-1, opening the case isn't that easy! Any ideas?

Okay, never mind... I found a screw next to the big USB port. after that was out a little prying got the assembly out.

Make sure you are plugging it onto the full sized USB port. This is a Host port. The OTG port is not and usually does not work for sound sticks.

I have another question, I`ve installed a couple of games into my mx2 with your ROM 1.7a, but some games "thinks" they are running into a samsung galaxy S2, so they wont let my use the keboard (or sixaxis) to control the game, they ask me to test the accelerometer in order to play these games (and of course that is not possible), so, my question is, is there a way to change the default model of the Imito from S2 to another device, such a Xperia Play or something else? and if possible, wich model (with keyboard may be?) would you recommend and how should I do it? editing the build.prop file or something else??

I've done that but the games are still asking for accelerometer config and the mouse pointer does not respond on they unless it is from the RKRemoteControl app, so now I've deleted cache from those games and I'm downloading the SD data again to see what happens, I'll let you know!

Problem USB BT Joycenter 6.44 recognize gamepad

Hy Finless,

Please I am using Finless 1.7a and I want to use app Joycenter 6.44 with this rom. When I connect gamepad Logitech for playstation one to imito it says in the app that device is not recognized. Is there a way to use other gampads beside xbox you named in the read me file? Also I want to change build.prop to build old and es file explorer says "sorry operation fial". How to change it?

Does Usb joycenter support your rom 1.7 because in the app its named that mk808 finless is supported?

I was on 1.7a for a while then it suddenly started dropping wifi so i went back to 1.5. Same thing happened there so i went to 1.7b. That fixed the problem, but i wanted 1080 back so i flashed 1.7a without wipe, all is good

Around the time wifi started dropping, if I was streaming a film in it would run for 5/6 mins and then just stop. The bar at the bottom that shows how much has loaded ahead would just fill up and playback would stop.

I remain clueless on how to solve this issue...does anyone have any ideas please?

This may be a newbie question.. but I just want to make sure...

If I flash this ROM, with the cable (otg->usb port pc) and the HDMI in the tv .. is that ok..?
Or should I also connect the device to a power source/outlet?

I'm happy to report that I have upgraded the UG007 from 1.5 to 1.7b now and it has been running smoothly.

However I did run into something strange when I was trying to get flash videos to work in firefox following some guide. I had to try some older versions of busybox (ie version 19.3) and it would hang on booting or take a really long time like over 5 mins to boot. And I never was able to get the flash videos working either. So I just decided to do a wipe and reinstall 1.7b again to start over.

Is there something about the rom that relies on a certain busybox version so we can be careful about this in the future if doing a busybox update?

Hi Bob, I got RKRemoteControl.apk and just install into my X10 mini that is running MiniCM7-2.2.1 from CyanogenMod but it didn't work as well as I expect. I mean, I can't find any device when running the research. The Imito 2 was updated to your 1.7a rom and they are in the same wifi network. Should I enable or setup something in the Imito? tks.
