Well if we flash your Measy U2C 1.7 ROM on our B13 device we get 9200 Antutu Points but no WiFi/Bluetooth.

If we flash the B13 1.7 ROM from you on our B13 device we get only 7200 Antutu Points but we have WiFi/Bluetooth.

Resolution is 720p in both cases...CPU speed is the same according to nofrils.

So something is different in this two firmwares.

I just want to ask you if it is possible to take the Measy U2C 1.7 ROM and just replace the WiFi part with the Files/Drivers from the B13.

So by doing this we could have the full speed 9.200 Antutu Points AND Wifi/Bluetooth.

Yes, I can do that! I need a stock ROM to work with. Got a link?

I think i can help out:

So we need this firmware from the Measy U2C (You used it for your 1.7 ROM):

And i looked at the changelog and saw this: "Improve CPU frequency, Antutu score can reach 9200+" Yay...thats what we need.

BUT we need the Wireless/Bluettooth part of our own B13 Firmware so our Wiresless&Bluetooth will work:

So if you could combine the Measy Firmware with the B13 Wireless&Bluetooth and make a Finless Mod of the Mix I think every B13/MK812 User will be happy

OK so that is the issue...

When I made the B13 ROM I used the same system that I used to make the Measy.
THE ONLY DIFFERENCE is the kernel between these 2 ROMs.

Now Wifi and BT are in the kernel. BUT.... YES I can inject the B13 kernel modules in the Measy kernel IF they existed which they do not!

So you guys are stuck unless I can get KO modules for your wifi and BT chip set.

Do you know what that is for the B13?

What do you mean by "I can inject the B13 kernel modules in the Measy kernel IF they existed which they do not!" ? The Measy has WiFi/Bluetooth too but a different chip i guess. So if you could just replace the WiFi/Bluetooth KO Modules of the Measy with the ones of the B13 that could work since the rest is the same.

I will open up my B13 later to check what the chips are.

Using Root Explorer where can I find the Wifi & Bluetooth KO Modules on the System ? I could copy them from the B13 Firmware if its easier for you.

Because there are no KO modules! The wifi and BT drivers are compiled in the kernel. This is why when you switch kernels wifi and BT do not work. If you flash the Measy ROM with your B13 kernel, you will find it then works but Antutu will be crap again.

So neither ROM injects KO files into the kernel. They are built in the kernel.

But if there "WERE" .KO modules, I could solve this.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the explaination Bob.

Guess we are stuck with the lower Antutu Score then. Maybe we can get the KO Files or a fixed Kernel from Kimdecent (The Manufacturer of B13)...i emailed them...i expect nothing but who knows....maybe they will do something.

I will open my B13 tomorrow to check whats the Wifi chip.

Thank you again and have a great weekend.

Ok, i finaly opend that thing up...it was kinda tricky...or maybe my hands are to big for this tiny Chinese Ingeneering

                  The B13 (V 1.1) uses the Realtek 8188CUS WiFi/Bluetooth Chipset.

Here are the pictures of the naked device:

Ok on the Realtek Site i found the 8188CUS (http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...oads=true#2742).

Here is the Mediafire Link of them because the Realtek Site is painfully slow:

The Files for the 8188CUS seems to be the same as the 8192CUS.

The Bad news is that you have to compile the .KO Files yourself which is a problem for me. Maybe someone could help out and compile them.

Also there are some guys over at the Armtvtech.com Forums who had problems with their Wifi too:

There is stuff about how to compile the thing and it seems here are the compiled .KO things from the 8192CUS (which should be the same as the 8188CUS):

Im not sure which one you need as there is one KO called rkwifi.ko and one called wlan.ko (The rest you can ignore i think).

I doubt the 8192 and 8188 kernel modules will be the same. But you guys can try it yourself.

                      Flash the Measy ROM.

Get ES File explorer and set it up for root and mount system RW
Copy the KO module into /system/lib/modules
set the permissions the same as other KO files in there.
                      As I recall:
                      set all boxes for read
set the first (top) box for write
                      leave everything else unchecked.

Now go get Android Terminal Emulator
                      run it and type
                      su
answer yes to the root access pop up
                      now type
insmod /system/lib/modules/8192.ko or whatever the module name is.

If you get no errors it means the module injected into the kernel.

Now try to turn on wifi.

If that does not work, try the wlan.ko and rkwifi modules you found. I would rename the existing modules .old and then copy in the new modules. Again remember to set permissions!

It seems that it doesn't work

I tried to do that but wifi doesn't work. It slightly changed though. While before WiFi wouldn't turn on at all (switch gone back to off immediatly) now it kinda turns on for a couple of seconds and then goes back to off.

Bluetooth doesn't work either and shows the old behavor. Is there a different .KO File for Bluetooth ?

Maybe someone else could test (Maybe I did something wrong) or better: a linux-expert could make the right .KO files according to the Realtek drivers & stuff.

Olá,Hello SOLIVEIRA,this rom that you posted is for the B13 dongle with external antenna? I have one B13 dongle but the Av-out does not work. Did you had also this problem? Do you think if I flash it with this rom I solve my problem? Obrigado Thank you

Everything was working with this version, unless I have forgot to see something, inclusive the Av-Out.

PS. It was quite hard, to me too, to install the drivers, I can't even say what I have made different to make it work, since I have tried so many times. But I have never changed the cable, for me the cable works just fine.
