De-bloating my 1.4 ROMs for all tablets I have done so far!

IMHO Bob is right its his ROM so he can put whatever splash screen he wants on it. If you donot like it, youcan learn how to make your own ROM's and put whatever you like for a splash. I don't want to seem rude, but whom ever builds the ROM should have the right to this. Its not like they are charging for this.

back to business, may i ask if ever there will be debloated rom for arnova 7bg2 "c" the dialling stuff, will that affect if ever you'll be adding an app like the go dialer?

I think Bob will get round to doing one for sure as for putting apps in the Roms that is probably a no due to distribution rights but that is not a big issue since these can be easily downloaded from the market

Do you advise flashing the 1.4 or waiting for the 1.5, so I can play and see what I do/don't use so it can then be stripped in the flashing of 1.5. Would it be worth using before flashing to 1.4 just so I can be amazed at improvements by doing the flashing?

Any opinions/suggestions welcome.

Also what apps would you guys recommend for various tasks to add to a newly flashed device.

I would flash now the 1.4 Rom you won't regret it when you see what you get when you use the firmware
That comes with the tablet. First thing I would do is install a different launcher because the android one is very basic. Try Go launcher ex or Adw ex they are both brilliant. For reading ebooks I like coolreader and it is free. Viewing videos I like Qq player, browser I use Boat again free.

The speed different etc from stock to bobs 1.4 is miles apart, I personally prefer this one rather than the Morka mod Rom that bob did.

Is it a 10G2 or a 10b G2? In case of a 10b G2 it would be interesting to get the stock rom out before you flash it.

On the Nextbook 7 there is a problem with the 3G continually searching for a radio signal. It kills battery life. The NextBook can't run on 3G, and there is no way to turn it off. I've tried to remove the 3G services with Titanium Backup, but on reboot I get stuck in a bootloop on the animation screen. A reset still leaves me in the bootloop, so I just reflashed 1.4 and left 3G services alone. Hope this can be addressed in 1.5, but since these services came built into the original ROM I'm not sure they can be removed since it seems a lot of other services depend on them. I lack the experience to figure this one out.

Also, I volunteer my NextBook 7 for beta testing if needed.
