It wont start off higher and then drop. Just constant 5Mbps. Its sucky, while my MK808 connects on my 2.4Ghz band and stays at 65Mbps all day.

You can install cwm generic for rk31 devices (the only bad is that it cant flash or format the kernel partition) or you need a modded cwm based in fun work with your kernel embedded. I made 1 for the imitoQX1 and works fine for me.REMEMBER, YOUR FEEDBACK IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US.My devices:
Minix Neo X7; Minix Neo X8-H , Minix Neo Z64W & Z64 (Sponsored by Minix)
MK902 & MK902II(Sponsored by RKM)
Beelink M8B & Beelink R89 (Sponsored by Beelink)
Tronsmart VEGA S89H (Sponsored by Gearbest.com)
MELE-PCG03 (Sponsored by Gearbest.com) Discount Coupon:MPCG03
Ainol Intel Z3735 MiniPC(Sponsored by Gearbest.com)
Thanks to them I can try to support your devices http://freaktab.com/core/images/smilies/wink.png

No clue, but I tried direct play and it still worked great, even before strauzo fixed things.

For comparison, my Samsung Galaxy S3 connects at 48Mbps and gets decent download speeds, no drops, hangs or any other anomalies.
My AP (ISP issued, generally regarded as crap, will be swapped out for something else soon) is in the basement, and coverage throughout the house is generally good.
The stock ROM was unable to keep associated to my AP for longer than a few minutes at a time before dropping the connection and requiring a reboot or two to get going again...
Apart from that, everything else seems to work properly, albeit slowly. Youtube takes forever and a day to load/buffer videos, but when it finally gets going, it keeps going and plays till the end. Video output seems slightly sluggish and sound isn't always synced (but that might just as well be Youtube acting up).
I also tried Finless 1.5A (4.2.2) and wifi was way worse there than on 1.4A.
Not sure where to go from here, I just need a stable, always-working TV-stick. I'm willing to tinker with it to get it to that stage, but I'm not willing to jump through hoops everytime it boots to get something working. It will mainly be used by the wife to stream kids' movies and suchlike from Youtube and the local network to keep the kid entertained while we cook dinner etc., so this needs to Just Work(tm).
Any ideas, other roms/kernels to try?

Thanks a lot!

Got wifi working better by moving the stick 10cm upwards... seems there's a black hole for wifi signals just where the TV's placed. Just my luck
Now I'm trying to get games working using DroidMote or my Xbox 360 controller, and neither work.
The Xbox controller is plugged directly into the T428 via the original cable, and it does absolutely nothing at all. Any hints on how to get that to work?
