If you use a USB remote with mic try using Soundabout from Google Play Store to re-route the audio.
Does the mic also not work on latest Firefly Lollipop firmware or does it?

i am trying to use a bluetooth dongle, only for the microphone part. don 't want to redirect the audio on bluetooth, only the microphone to use google voice command.

I have tried just about everything iv tried 3 different usb remotes and played with soundabout cant get the mic to for google voice commands. Maybe i don't have the soundabout options correct. That's the issue big issue iv had with this rom everything else works great

hi i have used a minix neox7 with newest quickshot rom and have had no issues doing any thing i through at it but its a little slow at emulation and playing high bit rate videos and am now ready to get a new device and this hph with 4gig 32gig etc is exactly what i was looking for but i cant get any good (new) opinions on this player as a emulator 3d gamer and kodi video player how is the newest version of this lollipop rom? stable enugh for daily driving or will i need to wait until the new year when new devices will be available? also is having 4gig ram worth the extra money over the 2 as i dont need 32gig rom 16 is fine!

32 GB works very well for dual boot Android/Linux firmware and for installing big Android games that are over 1GB.
But 16GB is enough for daily use.
It is a lot more powerful than a Minix Neo X7
It can play the latest Android games just fine.
RK3288 boxes have the fastest GPU of any Android tv boxes at the moment.
Emulators for N64, GBA, PSX or others will run just fine.

4K UHD videos play just fine in Kodi and HD Audio also works.

You can tell me an emulator and game you use, then I can test it and see how it runs.
I also send you a PM.

New ROM will have working Pulsar and torrent addons working in Kodi.
Tested some and everything worked.
Don't know if it also worked in previous firmwares.
But hear lots of people have trouble with it on RK3368 and other RK3288 devices with Lollipop firmware.

Live PVR or other DVD streams will now be able to stretch to fullscreen and adjust video settings.
No black screens after playing videos.

Will upload the new ROM soon as I got bootloops with Xposed modules and will leave it out for this ROM.

the unit i just bought is a revision b and it doent come with hdmi in!! does any one else know this?

thanks about the confusion but im happy with the v6b with out the hdmi in i just wont see my tv on the android not that big of a deal and no it did not ship yet but im happy with the keyboard bonus this one doesnt have the mini keyboard

My ugoos box is now directly connected on my 4k TV and audio passthrgough is configured as spdif but still the same trouble : when playing a video TV screen goes blank and try to refresh rate while sound continues to play. This is happening several times during movie playback.
This happens both on Auto or forced 1080/24 resolution in the android settings.

Problem doesn't exist if unchecking rk3288 acceleration with just Meduacodec acceleration

Any other hint to test please ?

Great idea about adding video in that will be after I get going on the hph when it arrives!

I was told they don't have any more 4/32 with HDMI in that the site listing was mistake!! I asked for the v6 not v6b and was told to forget about the HDMI in!!

The new ROM will allow Kodi to run in 720p or 1080p GUI but videos can still play in 4K.
The problem might be because Kodi switches back to 1080p by default after playing a video, on a 1080p TV it's not a problem but on certain 4K TV's it might cause problems.
Then a special 4K Kodi will be needed perhaps or if 4K resolution can be set in Kodi that might help.
Please check in Settings - System - Video If you can select 4K resolution or only 720p/1080p after ROM is uploaded.
Can you play 4K videos correctly with the default video player or MXPlayer without black screens when auto resolution switching kicks in?

On first Kodi run, go to Kodi System-Settings-Video? and change GUI resolution to 1080p if needed.
