On first Kodi run, go to Kodi System-Settings-Video? and change GUI resolution to 1080p if needed.

In 1.2 version, after reboot screen when firmware update is finished, my tv screen gone blank.I have 4k tv.

For a permanent solution you can add
qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
somewhere in the /system/build.prop file and then save it.
Use ES File Manager, enable rw for / and /system folder in the bottom settings of ES File Manager.
It will ask for root permission, say yes

I will try to look for an app that does it, it seems the IR remote can't do it on this Lollipop.

Can you tell what model TV you have?
I can try to report it and see if updated HDMI drivers for the kernel can be made.

Can you try plugging the HDMI cable in/out from the tv while the box is on?
Also try plugging into a non HDMI 2.0 port on your tv if not all ports are HDMI 2.0, eg. a HDMI 1.4 port if available.
On most 4k tv's not all the HDMI ports can do 4K and spme are HDMI 1.4.
Also try plugging the box into a 1080p tv if possible and reconnect to the 4k tv later.

Same for me on my 4k TV : no go when setting auto resolution in Android: blank screen.To sort this out I had to connect my box on a 1080 TV and force resolution to 1080/60 then it would display fine on the 4k one.
I didn't test a 4k video though so I don't know if kodi can switch to the 4k res.
Also still the same problem with rk acceleration on : on some movies at the same timestamp the TV screen goes blank and try to detect the video resolution while sound is still playing

Same to me. It fixes when I plug on a 1080 TV.

need to ask about the 4k media player app.... great player but a lack of codecs for ac3 and various files wont play ? .... is there a makers site mo ?..... cheers bud

I was happy to read "Kodi 16 Beta 2", unfortunately without Netflix .
So I have to wait the next version.

But can anyone say how stable get Kodi with hardware-accelerator.

Well I've finally tested a 4k demo file and since the android settings are set to 1080p the file won't play at all with kodi (screen going blank trying to change resoluyion several time in a bootlop)
When trying to play with built-in player the file will play but only at 1080p
I can't set the screen resolution to auto in android settings since the TV goes blank.
Note : kodi interface is also set to 1080

Please give a link to the demo file.
It must be a problem with Rockchip Kodi or Rockchip Lollipop firmware giving a problem.
See if Kodi 15.2 or Kodi 16.0 beta 2 from Kodi website plays the video correctly.

I think it's a Rockchip issue, since Tronsmart users also complain that on their RK3368 firmware Netflix doesn't work, but on Nagrace RK3368 firmware Netflix does work.
Since Rockchip released Lollipop firmware lots of things that was fixed in KitKat firmware is now broken again in Lollipop.
I will try to fix it but not sure what is causing the problem. I also get just loading on a video, but not sure if it's a Netflix or VPN issue, since Netflix is not available in my country and sometimes VPN services cause it to hang so it makes it more difficult to troubleshoot.
If I don't get it working I'll just upgrade my v1.1 ROM with the new Kodi and test Netflix on it also.
