I did think of that last night but left it so i could get it up and running.
Might look at it tonight if I can not sleep.

Looks like I'm out of my i7 made brick. After several firmware via USB cable, internal (eMMC) memory not defined. Has anyone experienced this phenomenon ? With an external SD card to boot Linux. It internal memory is also not seen. The command fdisk -l doesn't find it.

I have not seen this in any of my AML boxes. See here for possible solution. But it probably does not apply to your issue. Have you tried shorting the NAND pins? Sorry, these are shots-in-the-dark.

Hi if you look for my posts you will see the information on what pins to short out.
          Hope this helps.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help me. But unfortunately, I was unable to get to work internal eMMC. I think I killed it completely. Now I have to use boot systems (Linux and Openelec) only with external card.

Unfortunately, none of the options does not help. 1. Tried with a button pressed (on my console it is). 2. Tried without pressing the button. 3. I tried different versions of contact closures (including the one described in this thread). 5. Tried different options to start recording (pressing buttons Start and Stop). The main problem that in any manipulation, Windows absolutely does not respond, that discovered the device. Ie I understand is not happening activate the USB port on the console, in the data reception mode. I think that activating the USB port on the console in boot mode, runs the u-boot or kernel from recovery mode.

Perhaps I found the reason why not goes in flashing mode. Found that not work both USB ports. Run any system for i7. They don't work neither wired keyboard nor mouse. Food goes from the ports, but no data traffic. Connected via USB. Tried in both connectors. I think when I tried to flash, failed controller, that is responsible for USB.
Via UART all works and is administered. So, the is not working eMMC and USB.

Have you tried the SD Card unbrick method?

                        Hi Balbes150,

Any improvements so far? Did your device recovered from the memory failure?

                          Hi Jim.
No improvements occurred. The audits found that there are still problems with the USB. 5-7 launches TV set-top box in one case only USB keyboard and mouse are defined and work. I think that the problem is hardware. My experiments messed up the hardware part that is responsible for the powered USB and eMMC.

Well least you can get to the Ports a lot easier so +1 for that
Don't think the design will take off.
