          Hello luffy,

What usb tools are you using?

What MAC address does change? Ethernet or WLAN address?

If you need to flash you device with the burning tool, you should use the USB port is on the top.

If you happen to see a red number below either KEY or AVAILABLE column while failing to burn, you can use this simple quick-fix patch to fix it http://inphic.com/downloads/tools-dr...ing-tool-patch

            Hi Jim

i've downloaded it on your web site
I use the usb top port
            the i7 was never detected
so i can't try to flash anyway

should i use a "special" usb cable perharps ?

the ethernet Mac address change every time i restart
so i can't configure my router

            thanks for your answer

luffy what cable are you using. Look at some of my posts and trebors and they might help you.
Do you have a cable like this:- http://www.****.com.au/itm/2M-Type-A...-/200642038176.
              Cheers

luffy with your ip address changing on boot up I think that is normal.
You have to set up a static ip address in your modem/router or on the spot i7.

I will have a look in my i7 for you.
Your mac address should not change but your ip address will.
                Cheers

Unfortunately, a lot of these boxes have the issue of the MAC changing every reboot. I have had several of these boxes that had that problem, the latest box was my Tronsmart R68. I had to use a patch to keep it from changing the Ethernet MAC address each boot.
                  MK818B, T428, ATV 1220, CS918S, TV01, S89H, R89, ADT-1, MK808B Plus, MINIX X8-H Plus, Tronsmart Orion R68

clarkss12 Thank you for that information.
I have just boot my box up after unplugging the power pack 4 times and my box is not changing mac address.
I wonder if it a problem with the old firmware.
It might be OK when luffy gets the new firmware flashed on his box.
                    Cheers

                      i use a same cable

and that's the issue describe by clarkss12

ethernet mac adress change every time, impossible to assign a static ip by router
so i assign static ip on android's spot i7

                      thanks

                          Hi luffy,

Could you tell me what's the MAC address you have right now on your Spot i7 and what's the firmware version?

And the MAC address printed on the label is on the reverse of your device?
