Was hoping someone could get a working version of Openelec with kodi 16.0 on the i7 boxes.. if they could I would be buying lots of them to sell..

That's great news.. I know it can be done.. as a local firm near me have done it and are selling the I7 with Openelec on it.. but won't give the info out lol.. hope someone can sort it out and release a easy version to put on the boxes

The old one would stop working on my Spot i7 but the new one is working great.

Did you get to flash your device? Is it still changing the MAC at every restart?

It sits in the 70's that's ok, best temp was 114c before the mod, idle now 40~50 so it has to help.
A nice tight sandwich when you put the lid on and you hear nothing...Shhhh and the plate out of the base also.

How could you get 114C? The only way I find is by removing the heatsink and running antutu

Out of the box and running, I was shocked also...
My mod kept has kept it cool it was a software monitor so +/- 10 or so.

You can connect by adb and type:

while :; do sleep 1; echo -n "TEMP: ";cat /sys/devices/virtual/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp;echo -n "FREQ: "; cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq; done

You also can use your phone and terminal, it will look like a cool monitor :-D

Hi All,I installed Kodi 16.1 on the i7 and found it would go into flicking between channeling with iptv.
Sometimes it would freeze also.
So I'm back to Kodi 16 and all is good again.
