Please test AC3/DTS, Dolby Digital pass-through with this build and provide results and the Kodi logs.

You can do a second test and test HD Audio, I don't think that will work, they still need to implement that.

Mo, i stumbled on this webpage and i was looking for a solution to play my HD audio files.Sacd, 96Khz, 24bit.Or 5.1 recordings also with higher bitrates..
I have now the new wasser Marsmallow on my Ubox r89 16GB, but i all apps and even RKMC play them in native Bits and Khz..
I see that this rom has an RKMC kodi, and they are also building one themself i read..
Could it be that your rom has a better audio , yeah i am not a developer but i mean that its more aimed at my RK3288 and therefore maybe can play these audio files in their native bits..
Or is that exactly what you wane know according your last post.even if the still not implement it...

The RKMC Kodi included plays all HD Audio formats.
I'm just not sure about high bitrate like 24bit.
I am also going to release a fix for LPCM audio that might improve things for LPCM later.

Please test HD Audio, TrueHD, DTSHD etc. on this brand new Kodi 17 (WIP).
Must use my firmware or Ugoos 3.0.7 firmware.

Mo......I installed your last rom yesterday, an it not only looks promising....Also SOUNDS promising.....Today i will test de spdif connection , but i already had yesterday with HDMi an music experience....Without click and so on........Yes finally this sounds good....Will test it further on, but i can now use RKMC with a tree for my music off all the directories...Then for me its good!!

Also test yesterday RKMC kodi, also no dropouts and other .....You know....Offcourse in other players it stoped sometimes....But that was the hdd itself because it was busy with searching the HDD....
So will let you know what will work with Spdif..

----Indeed i dont know if wasser maybe can help you, but its very not user frienly to unplug all my hdd, then plug out the power ac from the box....I already saw that you had no support from the beelink......Yeah what must i say, i only know that with wassers roms the power button always works..Maybe he can direct you, or i can ask...But ill quess you know each other already...
I have the same with my beelink or Ubox, cant power it off, it reboot itself...Remote works but not the power button, also in home screen and with the more options like power off.....It reboots itself...

Test the sound, today further on.....But only the power button , otherwise......PERFECT ROM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very Happy that i can play uhhhh music.......Without dropouts and other weird stuff...For you its 123, done!

There is a trial version available in the description.

You can also give this Kodi a try, can try to change the audio settings in Settings - System perhaps and enable pass-through or other settings.
It is still in testing and might have problems.

Can you send me about 2 audio file samples(different bitrate, quality) ones that have problems then I can report it and find out about a way to play them?

Mo the 24bit 96Khz Hi resolution audio is always playable, also alot off apps play the flac or wav files with 24bit at 96khz....The things is, android limits its to the cd bitrate and Khz, thats 16bits by 44.1KHZ.
So the play, but not in Hi resolution audio..The realtek chips spit out these resolutions, witch can even be higher..24bit by 88, 96 or even 192KHZ Hi resolution audio.
You also have these files in higher bitrates with even 5.1 or 7.1 hi resolution audio, and some receivers or amplifiers have special modus to this kind off hi resolution audio...So the amp or receivers will tell you what android feeds them playing wav or flacs with these bitrates...Technical you cant talk about bitrates but thats another story ...
I dont know if you have an amplifier , most cases the amp will tell you how much bitrates they get from the android boxes.My father has an realtek himedia q10 android box, eats all of these audio tracks and his amp goes in full modus eating 96Khz, the soundstage changes then...Not if it gets cd bitrates, 44.1khz...

So yeah i can play all my music, but hi resolution audio is with the rockchip still not possible....While the specifications off the chip, are even ....Much higher then 96Khz, eats even higher bitrates....Like in movies...

Flac files with 96Khz and 24 bits...
In win, change resolution in audio driver to 196Khz and it will eat it and spit it out true spdif with the original bitrates...

I can only test spdif i have no HDMI receiver, i hope someone can test the TrueHD, DTSHD, Dolby Atmos.
This can be done with an amplifier, with HDMI and the options TrueHD, DTSHD, Dolby Atmos.

This is the latest nightly Kodi and has the pass-through patches merged now. Yippee!

I think DTS/AC3 will work on Rockchip devices if it worked in RKMC with latest firmware after June 2016 but the TrueHD, DTSHD might still not work.

Can you do this and install the log uploader?

Then play some of these mpeg2 videos that give problems and upload the log with the addon.
I hope it can help Kodi or Rockchip to see the problem, maybe I will see too what the problem might be.

The indicator on the receiver blinks frequently between analog and HD-sound...
I'll try to get logs.

NTMC work with HD sound but not best. Some test vids cant play.
RKMC now is best choise. All test vids played.

But i have one test-clip (4K) that fw cant play (artefacts).

ps: i set this fw on HTC-like device.. Remote not work, but work LeHome Remote Control Assistant app. Your fw is best for now.

If you can get a log with HD Audio problems it will help.
Can install the Kodi log uploader and play some videos then use the addon to upload it.
