    Hi

Can you or someone with the resolution switching post a screenshot perhaps of 'Display Settings' where it shows all the resolutions available to choose on a 4k tv?
Eg. on a 1080p tv it stays at 1080p@60hz but that is the highest resolution on a 1080p tv.
I will see if it is a simple setting to change otherwise it might require a bit more investigating.

Did the problem not happen on the previous stock firmware I send you, did it remember the 1080p setting correctly?

1.5 doesn't have the same issue when changing to 1080p (1.5 gets color saturation when you change the resolution from 4K to 1080p which can worked out by changing tv source , 1.5 keeps also the selected resolution , i.e. 1080p after rebooting , but with that color saturation regression). the good thing about 1.6 is that it can switch off my beelink R89

I flashed back to 1.5 but this time i used the kernel and resource from 1.6 to switch off my beelink R89.... it worked (changing the resolution after rebooting keeps the changes , but the color saturation kicks in whenever the box is rebooted)...

              Changelog updated in first post.

I will make a single update.img with working IR Remote, the booting problem has now been resolved.

Can report bugs here then I will add it in a central location at the link below.

blessings bro... so the posted 1.6 is an updated image? i mean the hdmi issue (resolution back to 4k after reboting issue) is solved in the posted image? thanks

update : regarding the log :
[System / displayd] Add savemode, for adaptive resolution: 1. When the user sets a high resolution, such as 4K 2. Then the box access to a low-resolution TV, such as 1080P 3. Then take the box back to the original high-definition television (4K), the resolution can be automatically changed settings in 4K.

so i believe it is solved....

unfortunately , still booting to the 4K resolution even if you chose 1080p 60hz resolution before booting...

i think what you meant is that the booting issue has been solved but the updated image is not yet uploaded... maybe i got confused a bit , goodness me....

my tv is samsung js9500 4K tv , but i always love to use the 1080p resolution...
auto mode on your rom is working (setting the resolution to 4K) , but i always set my resolution to 1080p instead of 4K. many thanks and blessings bro

Hi Mo great work as usual just got a couple of problems my end , number 1 on boot up I have to unplug my hdmi cable and then plug it in (a couple of times) to get the picture up properly , when booting I get this mad looking lightbulb type picture then it goes all wonky until i unplug, plug back in then repeat the process twice over before i get the proper NT-V6 splash screen (Hope that makes sense lol) And secondly the ir remote file does't load in the flasher tool (but I think you know about that already) appart from that all good :-D

When I packed the working IR Remote it didn't boot and you had to flash it separately afterwards with the second download link.
But I found the cause of the boot problem, so I will repack the firmware in a single update.img.
                          - The IR Remote will then work and also key repeat when holding the arrow keys in
                          - There will be no lightbulb picture
                          - Will add some extra airmouse remote layouts
                          - TV Out should also work if there are still people using it.
                          - Resolution will be set to 720p so it doesn't cause problems for people using lower than FHD displays.

Are you using 720p/1080p or 4K resolution?

I'm using 4k@30 resolution on my box.

It is just a single file to flash now and the IR Remote will work.
Please check if you still have color problems on startup.
You can also go into Display Options and change color mode to 'RGB_255' instead of 'Auto' and see if it makes a difference

                                Other changes
Added several remote and gamepad keylayout files.
Added several dvb/dvb-t2 tv tuner support.
If live tv/mpeg2 gives problems it will play with MXPlayer.
I'm looking into fixing the interlaced video playback.

Please report any other problems you might encounter.

Need some users to complete this spreadsheet for HD Audio Testing
                                http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...testing-needed
It will help determine what receivers work good and what audio codecs/video files still have problems so a solution can be found if there are still problems.

Please also test Netflix audio and if there are problems.
