Report any bugs or suggestions.
If it works good, I will update the custom firmware with the new app.

On my RK3368 firmware it has automatic repeat for the IR Remote if one of the arrow keys are held in.
So you can navigate to an app in the middle of the launcher in just two presses, right then down.
I will try and also find out if that driver can be used on RK3288, since the remotes are the same.
It will make navigation feel a lot snappier.
Do you have the weather icon showing the temperature or is it also blank?
Just want to make sure, so I can get a fix for it if it's not working.
For using HDMI-IN on an HDMI-IN device
Hold the top right menu key in to get the PIP.
Or inside the app, you can also press menu.

The black rectangle one or the one with round corners and red or orange arrow keys?
I tried both IR remotes, held in the power button for 3 seconds and it allowed me to shutdown or reboot.
When pressed fast, it puts device in sleep mode.
I tested on an HDMI-IN device, but the 16/32GB devices with no HDMI-In should function the same, but I'll also test.

For wifi, you can try to use a lower channel number and also try changing the bandwidth mhz and experiment in your router.
If it is set to auto it might try to connect to channel 13 if in the US and cause problems.
You can install a build.prop editor app to modify the blank wifi channel limit and set it to 11 or 13.
Can root your device from 'Accessibility Options' to be able for apps to modify system files.
For the US you have to use a certain wifi channel limit(channel 1-11) and for Europe and the rest of the world a different one(channels 1-13).
There is also an app 'wifi fixer' on Google Play that sometimes help.
For ethernet make sure all the devices connected to your network uses 1000mbps.
New custom firmware will have settings like this set and will also include extra software fixes for connectivity.
Hope above can help you a bit.

mo123 I need an advice..
I have a Rikomagic MK902II and I use it just to watch movies mostly ripped in 1080p h265.
As it's connected to my Yamaha YHT 294 using HDMI I also need the passthrough to work.
Using the default rikomagic firmware dated 150529 everything was fine.
Then started to appear some movies ripped in 1080p h265 10bit.
Using that firmware, I could not see the movies ripped in 10bit, because they came out with just green pixels.
Then a new stock firmware came out, version 160314, which uses android 5.1.
With that firmware (which uses kodi 15 RC1) it's even worse.
so, my question is, can I use your firmware with my device to see those kind of movies?
If not, do you have other ideas ?
thank you!

You can try first with
http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...3-light-biz-os
then later v1.4 or v1.5 firmware.
It should work, maybe not wifi then you can just flash RKM resource.img and try to see if it boots.
V1.3 firmware had all 10-bit color support inside the kernel, in v1.4/v1.5 it moved to the bootloader and only some code remained inside the kernel.
10-bit color works great in Kodi on Nagrace firmware.
If you flash RKM kernel and loader it would probably remove 10-bit color again.
For playing 10-bit 720p videos only on stock firmware, you can use software acceleration in MXPlayer and BSPlayer and it will work but 1080p/4K videos won't be able to be played by software.

Hello,
thank you for writing back.
I will try as you suggested.
Meanwhile I would like to post some new information I found:
- I reflashed again Rickomagic stock firmware with lollipop 5.1
- with preinstalled kodi 15.1 RC1 there are some problems with 10 bit movies, I have found no way to make it work.
- then i installed this:
- in that version i have set:
AUDIO
-- Enable passthrough: TRUE
-- Dolby Digital (AC3) capable receiver: TRUE
-- Enable Dolby Digital transcoding: FALSE (with true I cannot hear audio)
-- Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC3) capable receiver: TRUE
VIDEO
-- Mediacodec surface: FALSE (with true, I cannot see 10bit 1080p movies)
Using these settings and that version of SPMC everything works correctly.
The only problem is that for 10bit movies and some other movies like
-- https://kat.cr/star-wars-episode-vii...t12318545.html
-- https://kat.cr/the-big-bang-theory-s...t11298015.html
passthrough DO NOT work and audio is just STEREO.

Testing from yesterday, the only issue for now it's Hdmi Bitstream not working, no sound at all, so couldn't try passtrough in kodi.
Could try with this?

Ok from doing some more testing on the new stock image . I noticed even though in the display settings it said 4k @30 the TV only showed it as 720p@60hz , I then did a speed test (100mb/s broadband) I was getting a max of 50-53mb/s download , I then reflashed back to Kitkat 1.7 rom , and did the same and it showed me 98/100 mb/s download speed which is twice as quick , OK yes the navigation speeds are terribly slow but in another test i copyed and pasted my Kodi build from my usb stick to the box (es file explorer) using both kitkat 1.7 rom and the new lollipop rom and it was like night and day on kitkat it transferred at 5mb/s where as on the new rom i was only getting a max of about 0.90/1mb/s , so certainly kitkat is still the better rom at the moment.
Just like to add my findings always helps devs like yourself iron out any problems in future development ;-)
Cheers Chris.
ps. I did try wifi fixer but it didn't make much of a difference. Just funny how it shows my full speeds on kitkat but not lollipop.

I will look at the low wifi speed and slow SD-Card write speed in Lollipop.
