Hi mo123, just tried the latest img on my 4GB HPH and the HDMI-IN still doesn't work, same behavior as before force closing. Full wipe etc.

Hi Mo , that last rom you linked me had a lot more positives , Internet speeds perfect (average speeds 89-100mb/s via wifi ) , resolution was 4k @ 30 on the box and TV , No problems on boot/reboot , the only thing letting it down like all the other lollipop roms is the navigation speeds using the hand remote , it's sometimes none responsive at times !

I'm not sure if you noticed or anyone else , when i flashed the lollipop roms , on the front of the hph box the remote sensor lit red (behind the plastic, not the led on the top of the box) where as on the kitkat rom it doesn't , do you think that might have anything to do with the hand remote not working properly ?? I only noticed that at night as it's difficult to see during daylight hours.

The only other thing I wasn't overly keen on that lollipop rom is the launchers , I did try the hph launcher but off course a lot of the functions didn't work as it's not designed for that rom.

        Certainly better though !

        Cheers Chris.

yeah, the HDMI-IN app is still very much alpha after all this time. It looks like they have gotten around the problem of constant crashing while recording by breaking the recordings into 2 minute files. lol
The recording interface is still mostly non-functional. See this user review of the identical? Ugoos UT3+

As Chris mentioned and as in previous Nagrace firmware, the box has a very frustrating habit of ignoring the IR remote - at least half of the clicks are missed. I know the remote is sending a signal because I can see the blue light on the box flash in response. How to raise a users blood pressure!
The UT3+ is the third RK3288 TV box in the Ugoos lineup. Like the original UT3, the UT3+ has an HDMI In port. Unlike the original, the HDMI input of the UT3+ can be

For HPH NT-V8, I used a different remote driver.
When I use the same IR remote on both boxes, it definitely functions better on the RK3368 one with a different driver.
I will try to get the same driver working on RK3288 and then automatic key repeat should also work which will make navigation a lot smoother.
You will then just hold in the d-pad and it will keep on repeating the keys to quickly navigate around the launcher and app screens.

The HDMI-IN is still not ideal.
Rockchip did release a new camera driver with native support for the Toshiba HDMI-IN chip v1.37.1(old one v1.36.d) and it adds proper 60hz refresh rate and should also improve other things.
Firefly team is also now busy improving the same HDMI-IN chip code so hopefully they won't take too long.

The red light, I think it might be the ethernet one.
I will just check if it can be turned off by default.
If going into ethernet settings it will show turned on even if wifi is turned on.

              Hello!

mo123 I tried your 1.5 firmware on my Rikomagic mk902ii

It looks amazing! Fast and plays 10bit movies..but I have no audio.

I tried both hdmi bitstream and spdif but audio is missing on both android and kodi.

do you know how I can fix it?

                ok!!

                now it's working!

                This is what i did:

                1) flashed your 1.5
                2) did NOT work the rikomagic remote, the audio, the wifi. All the rest was perfect
                3) tried this

                but it did not work.
                4) I flashed the rikomagic stock android 5.1 kernel, loader, resource
                5) replugged it
                6) received a little error I did not read
                7) Now remote works, wifi works, passthrough works, ac3 transcoding works, h265 10bit works...it's perfect!!

                thank you so much!!

If you want / have something to let me try to avoid reflashing the stock parts let me know!!

Formerly, I also had audio PT problem, then I tried a different setting in Kodi in stead of the recommend one on first page:
                  RKMC settings
-Playback - Adjust display refresh rate - OFF
-Pause during refresh rate change - OFF
-Sync playback to display - OFF
-Acceleration - Allow hardware acceleration MediaCodec - On
-RKMC Settings - Accelerate RKCodec - On
-System - Audio output - Play GUI sounds - Never
-System - Audio output - Keep Audio device alvie - Always
                  -Enable pass-through - On
                  -DD/DD+/DTS/TrueHD/DTS-HD - On
Currently, audio pass-through works perfectly with my receiver(Yamaha).

Disable Accelerate RKCodec will impact with 4K resolution.
Zidoo has likely fixed the aspect problem with the update ZDMC 16.1.1

It works on 1.5 rom and API is as same as RKMC

BTW, my box is CloudNetgo CR12

Thanks for sharing a different way for pass-through.

Here is my new RKMC Kodi that fixes the aspect ratio problem.

In RKMC Settings also set 'Display 4:3 videos as' 16:9 non-liner stretch.
If you have an airmouse or USB/Bluetooth keyboard you can also press 'z' multiple times to change the aspect ratio.
                    Quite a useful shortcut.

When you say you had audio problem what do you mean? Because in my case I could not hear anything, completely mute.
If you had the same problem, what of those settings you changed brought back the sound?

                        hello Mo123,

I don't know if you read my problem and also what I did to solve it, do you agree or you have a better solution?
Doing what I did works, but I lost some options into your kodi version..

Also, I found out I have the aspect problem too.

I downloaded this link but when I try to install it says I have kodi 16 and that version you posted is a RC3.
Is it correct? Also I cannot update but I have to uninstall-reinstall..

                        thank you!

Please flash these files after flashing the firmware.
Everything is already set up correctly in this flash tool.
It should fix the pass-through, keys repeating bug on airmouses/keyboards and add tv-out support.

Yes, you first need to uninstall NTMC then you can install the new RKMC.
I will update this RKMC again so it says 16.1 final and not 16.1 RC3 to stop getting the message to update and also change it's name and icon to NTMC and add extra caching.
It is actually 16.1 final but the version text was just not changed everywhere.

Also, what about the remote I have? It did not work with your firmware, it started working after I flashed the rikomagic loader, kernel, resource.

For the remote you will have to flash the RKM loader, kernel & resource.
Download my files then just replace them with your RKM ones including loader and tick loader in the flash tool.

That is what I did yesterday, isn't that?

In fact now everything works except:

                                - screen ratio wrong on some movies
                                - i lost lot's of options in kodi under video and under audio sections.

At this point I will just update kodi with the version you just posted..

                                thanks.
