grat rom
i know it's not made for mk902II, but everything is so smooth only from v1.5 sound doesn't work at all
tried also kernel you posted today but still no sound
again i know it's not for mk902II but it would be great if sound would work, maybe you removed some drivers?

Hi, do normal stereo sound work?
I tested stereo 2.0 sound on 'default' sound device and also 'HDMI-Bitstream' and it worked.
If you use pass-through sound, did you set 'HDMI Bitstream' in Android Sound Settings and also enabled pass-through in RKMC Settings?

It would be interesting, what happens if only flashing loader from MK902II and using firmware with kernel/resource.img in post 114.
Does pass-through sound then work?
I use the same kernel/resource as in v1.4 firmware where pass-through works, just system, loader changed and added HDMI-IN support.
I still have to pinpoint the problem with HDMI-IN.that stop other sound.

Does pass-through sound work on v1.4 firmware in middle of 1st post in this thread in NTMC?

Yes it works and works well I think root may have issue but i test some more tonight.

thank you for the new firmware.

My first hand feedback: (updated)
On my NT-V6 HDMI Bitream does not work to Onkyo receiver, no sound at all in Android (os, apps, youtube) and in Kodi too. Other sound options are ok.
However it seems that passtrough is working under default audio (?) but not under HDMI bistream.
NTMC does not show movie top and bottom black bars when needed. Image is stretched, manual aspect ratio has no effect on video. SPMC does not have this issue
Power on/off hardware button still not working propely
Device gets very hot!!!!

Can you provide official firmware, would like to see if has same issues too.

I will release new kernel for you to flash.
It will reduce heat by having lower CPU/GPU speed sometimes and should help.
RKMC is included in v1.5 firmware not NTMC that was included in v1.4 firmware.
Maybe you can just flash again and before flash use 'EraseFlash' option in Androidtool v2.35 to completely erase your device,
or you can do 'Factory reset'' in Android Settings.

Did you flash the 2 files from here to also check pass-through?

For black Bars, go into RKMC or NTMC, enable expert settings at the bottom.
Then go to Acceleration and disable RKCodec.
You will be able to set video OSD settings if you want then.
Normal temperature for device is around 50-60 degrees Celsius.
The CPU was made to go over 80 degrees, but anything under 60 degrees is a normal temperature.
You can also get a small USB fan and plug it in or make sure bottom of device is a bit elevated 0.5-1cm from table.

I now made new HPH NT-V8 firmware.
So after release, I will make new HPH NT-V6 firmware and look at RKMC problems and others that users will report.

Disabling RKcodec solved the problem.
Temperature was so high that device shut down by itself and almost burned the palm of my hand...

I now made new HPH NT-V8 firmware.
So after release, I will make new HPH NT-V6 firmware and look at RKMC problems and others that users will report.

In the meantime, if I could try stock firmware would be great, can't risk to burn my house :-)

Hi Mo , slight improvement from v1.4

Positives - It found my 4k resolution no problems , the freshened up hph launcher is lovely (my fave launcher) the internet speeds seemed better than on 1.4,no read error message when going into my device section (i get that on 1.7 kitkat)

Negatives for me , when rebooting the screen is stuck on a green screen with nagrace hph... I have to pull my hdmi plug out and put it back in to correct that everytime , Navagation speeds for me are also very very slow compared to 1.7 on kitkat , it seemed to slow down and even stick at times.

Appart from that much much better , still a few bugs to iron out :-)

ps. yes i went back to 1.7 kitkat as it's a lot better this time.

Moe123 did you get a chance to do rkm rom? i am using 1.5 on it and runs well but root gone. Everything else works fast and clear. Just flashed with loader kernel resource file from rkm latest. Boots runs very nice indeed.

I'm going to release a new Nagrace RK3368 ROM soon.
I will also try to update the RK3288 ROM and repackage kernel/resource since some users had pass-through problems.
For RKM I will also do something soon.
