Please specify the characteristics of the device. If the device is powered by Amlogic S905, almost any device (after processing the images and files) can have the multiboot and to work with these images. The last time I spoke with the owners of devices based on S802\S805\S812. After the initial review came to the conclusion that the adapted multi-boot can be used on these devices. And then Refine and build on these chips of the respective adapted images, you can use boot from external media of different versions of Linux.

Can make any of the options. The only question is the availability of time, access to information, resources, and relevance (appropriateness) of such decisions.

I'm having a bit of trouble getting my box to boot. I followed the guide and copied Ubuntu to my hdd and booted the box. The T95M logo comes up on my monitor and there is a lot of hdd access for about 30 seconds, then it stops. I let it go for about 15 minutes and rebooted. It did the same thing 3 more times now.

Should I use flash media instead of a HDD? I was using my hdd since I don't have any flash drives over 4gb and all of the images are ~8gb when extracted. How can I make my own bootable img? I'd love to have a minimal Arch install. They have an Odroid-C2 build here: https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/a...ogic/odroid-c2

I do not think you should use a hard drive. Use only an SD card or flash drive.

You have Linux on PC ? What SD card or USB stick do You have ?
I do not recommend to use without additional training images from Odroid C2. Easy to brick.

Yeah I'm not getting this to boot at all.

I switched to a 32gb class10 micro sd card and I'm having the same problem. T95M logo and nothing else.
I did notice that in the FAT partition there is no t95m dtb, which makes sense because these images were made before I ad that, so I added it and tried again. No go. I might just buy an MXQ or something.

Which files in the root of the FAT partition on the SD card ?

Using the armbian image, all I added was /DTB/ott_t95m.dtb. Everything else is normal.

Copy your dtb file to the root of the FAT partition, under the name of the dtb.img

Tried that, attempted to boot 4 times with no success. This specific device might just not be compatible for some reason.

S812 is not aarch64, the images that are on the site are not suitable. For S812 need to assemble (compile) to other images. It is possible but need testing and time to debug.
I made a test version of multi-boot for the S805. I think that it must be suitable for S812. But need more information on what parameters have u-boot on devices with s812.

I think it's a specific device that can be run. I'd recommend checking out the following options. 1. Try to use a USB flash drive (verify all the connectors on the console). Often SD cards are running bad at the start (u-boot). There are problems recording. The topic of OE many of these cases. 2. To try dtb files from other devices. Sometimes it works out. Maybe not something to work from component (WiFi BT etc). It is not critical, the main thing is to check the boot and the main system. 3. To check the remaining images ( from the site), including Openelec. Possible features in the kernel. 4. To connect the console UART. This is the best option, i can guarantee Linux to work. 5. I can collect special images or scripts that will definitely test Your system.

                              Hi,
                              Dear balbes150,
I have a problem with ubuntu_multi_dtb_v3_20160625.img (OpenLEC is working well). I started the system from USB drive as you wrote, but it does not update the system (frozen) and the programs boutique is not working either. Do you have the img for telos? Maybe the multi version is not ok for telos on the other hand you refer to telos version in your description. Thanks a lot!

Oh, my stupid head!! Sorry, I forget to replace the correct dbt file into telos version. Thanks!
