How do you check if it is or is not 1080p.
In settings -> screen -> hdmi, I can select 1080p 60Hz, and when selected my TV also puts out a notification that the input is 1080p 60Hz.
Isn’t this 1080p, or am I missing something.

The output is 1080p, but you also want the source to be the same resolution and not upscaled from 720p. Scaling will give you artifacts.

      Signature? Signature!

Actually you should be able do this by editing the 'vold.fstab' in /etc/ and changing two of lines so the internal sdcard becomes the extrnal_sd and visa versa.

          Code:
[COLOR=#008000][U][I]This is from '/etc/vold.fstab' finless 1.4 JB 4.1.1 it may be different in 4.2.2[/I][/U][/COLOR]

[I]In theory you would change these two lines ::[/I]

          dev_mount flash /mnt/[COLOR=#ff0000]sdcard [/COLOR]auto[COLOR=#ff0000][/COLOR] /dev/block/mtd/by-name/user
          dev_mount sdcard /mnt/[COLOR=#ff0000]external_sd[/COLOR] auto /devices/platform/rk29_sdmmc.0/mmc_host/mmc0

          [I]to[/I]

          dev_mount flash /mnt/[COLOR=#ff0000]external_sd[/COLOR] auto /dev/block/mtd/by-name/user
          dev_mount sdcard /mnt/[COLOR=#ff0000]sdcard [/COLOR]auto /devices/platform/rk29_sdmmc.0/mmc_host/mmc0
Do at your own risk of bricking.. this is just a suggestion, and have not tried it myself with this device.. Make a system backup with CWM, before anything else, so you can restore.. Use the likes of 'root explorer' and its own text editor to do any editing as it will create a backup of the original file and keep the permissions and ownership the same. Always double check permissions and ownership before rebooting.

I did this for my x920 clone phone so it could take full advantage of the 32gb sd card.

I may give it a try later on to see what happens.

The icons and text size, in true 1080p they would be much smaller

Yes after you have installed the drivers, unplug the cx919 from your pc, reboot your pc wait till pc back up & running then plug stick back into pc & put into flash mode again & then flash..take your time & follow it step by step its quit easy with bobs instructions it sounds scary but its not that bad
