Could this update! FAT32 should be formatted NTFS instead of a usb stick

Not. version is not changed and remained the T5ZP0004. The update indicates T5ZP0007, but you can not install. Error say when they will restart, and you want to install

Well, with my T95Z Plus box it tells me that there is a newer version for the firmware and that was "T95ZP0007" and able to download it , and installed successfully.

        Here is the proof...

It also happened to me when there was an external drive connected to the usb port. Make sure that no usb drive connected to the usb port, then try it again.

I installed the usb principle T5ZP0006 was ... progress bar went through ... but the version has not changed afterwards. T5ZP0004 left. The T5ZP0007 itself was downloaded and wanted to upgrade.

                Hello!

I owned a T95Z Plus and plan to integrate a USB-Touchscreen driver for my Packard Bell 23" touch Monitor.
It is recognized (checked with lsusb) as Vendor: 0408, Product 3000 but is not working. I know that from many boxes - I only found one box, where it worked "out of the box" and one, where it works after unplugging and replugging the USB connector. Making an .idc file did not help.
So I think, I have to comile a new kernel, right? As I read, I need a SDK (or Kernel source) for that, right? Can I extract it from the Firmware mentioned above?

Or is there somebody out there, who can help me?

                Thanks a lot!

EDIT: By the way: How can I check, if my "T95Z Plus" is compatible to the Firmware above? The manufacturer is "AKASO". But the device looks the same: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01M7TZ46L

I don't know why you are going to the usb principle, whereas T95Z Plus firmware can be updated OTA .

Sorry I can only answer the last sentence of your question. AFAIK "AKASO" is not the manufacturer of this box, it just only a distributor who purchased bulky orders from China and advertises their name.
Many of those names but always carrying the model "T95Z Plus" are the same, so therefore your box is compatible with the firmware stated above, as soon as your box has the "T95Z Plus" model name.

It also happened to me twice when I am updating into T5ZP0007, when I tried the third time I was able to removed the external portable drive from it, and viola! the T5ZP0007 update was successful. Make sure that no usb drive connected to the usb port, then try it again.

I wanted to update OTA-n which has been unsuccessful and no USB ... How do I get the SD card 0007 update?

OK, I can see the 0007 update in the OTA system, and it downloads OK, but at the point of me clicking "Update Now" all I get is a "Reboot..." message and it sits there. Left it for ages. No changes. Any ideas? Where does it download the build too? Is is possible to grab that and install from recovery mode? If not, anyone got a download link for the file to install it manually? Very weird. I've unplugged my USB HDD and rebooted, as someone else suggested, but it's still the same. Very weird/annoying!

Try to clean first the cache of the system then unplug the box from the outlet then try it again. Let's see if this works.

YAY - nailed it! So, I rebooted into recovery mode, cleared the cache (which seemed to show some "full" message as I went in). I then rebooted the box, went into the FOTA update and this time all went fine. Shame this is needed, as it's hardly saving any steps - if I was in the bootloader to clear the cache, I could have flashed it in there too anyway!
