Hi Kev, I'm new to the android box world and just today recieved my T95Z and experiencing the green screen flash issue. My firmware is 004 and I'm having the same update issue as you. Could you tell me how to get in recovery mode to clear the cache.

    Thanks in

    Jon

Shame this is needed, as it's hardly saving any steps - if I was in the bootloader to clear the cache, I could have flashed it in there too anyway!

Just found the boot manager app and wiped the cache. Installing as we speak. Fingers crossed. I've fired an email to the company I bought it from (Easytone) so lets see what they say.

Daniel, Seems ok at the moment but a bit too early to tell. I have also changed the hdmi setting thinking it may be that. Will keep you updated with results. Have you wiped the cache in recovery mode?.

Had a couple of hours playing today and not noticed any green flashes. No movies played in this time just messing with settings and menus. Fingers crossed thats cured. I do use Kodi alot (I have 2 x Raspberry pi2 running Openelec quite well). I uninstalled the default kodi and put the pulse install recomened by a friend . Had a few crashes and overall not that impressed with pulse. May do a factory reset as I have recieved an email from the vendor saying after installing new firmware you should reset to default settings.

Guest maybe a full back up before doing a full reset to see if it cures your problem.

Only a couple of of other niggles I'm working on.
                1. I need to set up my usb keyboard correctly for all keys & characters.
                2. The on screen keyboard keeps popping up when I'm using the usb keyboard.
                3. Sort VPN or DNS & Install Iplayer itv hub. I'm a UK expat living in Spain.

Overall my early opinion of the t95z box is not as good I thought it would be, I'm still open mined and hoping for a more pleasant experience once all my niggles are sorted. Wish me luck.

I will try to clean the cache from recovery mode! then if it doesn't work I will try with full reset! I will backup the add ons in Kodi, nothing else to worry about.
I'm pretty sure that this will not solve the problem!

                      Got this. Normal?

I install the last one from the play store.
Disabling some video acceleration it should stop from crashing. But didn't try!

I just wiped cache partition and then reboot system and then upgraded softwae. The only difference was that I started on 004 software.
Did you have any usb device connected, I've read about people saying usb devices have interfered with updates but don't know if this would make a difference to a cache clean. How about a full reset of the software. I don't want you to brick anything but looks like you may have to give it a go. Dont forget I'm a noob with this android thing but i've flashed a few phones in my time.

Already did. The reset went fine. Even if I got the error (no USB was connected)
When I turned on the tv again it was clean as when I bought it.

Are you sure you had the green screen problem before?

Yes the random green flashes when in use. Only saw it on the menus as I was still playing with settings. I'm using the Pi2 for Kodi its all set up and I have more of an idea what I'm doing at the moment.

So the T95Z has the problem even after the factory reset.
We need to find a way to force rgb. I think it's the only way.

How does kodi work on the Pi2?
