Partitions are defined in the kernel, you can't modify mtd sizes and Partitions unless you have full kernel sources.

Nope, on rockchip you can define the sizes.

I mentioned in my OP that the versions supported are 2.2, 2.21 , 2.22
You should have checked it before!!!

If you did not, you took the risk.
Only way to try is the UART method.

I will try to search you the instructions how to access by UART.

I was giving a matricom link just I've done tooth pics method n installed from sd
the no signal has gone now me screen flashed white n gone back to black n that's all I'm getting a black screen

I got the same box as you. Firmware hd18t-20140630-12252013pn-m6-dvbs2 should work out for you. Unfortunately this firmware has audio sync probems in XBMC. After around 10min the audio will go out of sync.

I will try tonight the new version "hd18t-20140717" and let you know. If you got no patience. You can try it your self: http://pan.baidu.com/s/1kTDm1SV

Steps shortly:
1. Downlad file, unzip it.
2. Copy the content to SD card.
3. Remove power cable and put a tooth stick into the AV hole. When you hear a click hold it there and poweron the device. After that everthing should go automatically.

Strange, I just installed the firmware and I had the same error as you (first screenshot), but after rebooting the device it worked fine for me. Seems like the new firmware didn't solve me issue with the audio sync. After 17min the audio got out of sync .

There should be a way to fix your device. I hope someone around with more knowledge can help you to get the boot sector fixed
