NAND Chip Mask ROM Mode Short Location

Hi Everyone

We have created this thread to collect all the NAND pin Short to Mask ROM Mode locations for all our members.

Because firmware comes on android devices Perfect without any flaws and updates so easy over OTA. There is rarely a need to ever update your Firmware. But if you ever have and something has gone horribly wrong during the flashing process (The dog runs past pulling laptop onto the floor, Cat sits on the device, kids pull the usb cable and run faster then the dog, or you forgot to pay that hydro bill and they just happen to cut the power as your flashing your device. ) I know not very likely but it does happen to some. You had to open your device and find a pin short to set your device into flash mode. Well if you figgered it out your alot farther then alot of our new members. Finding this is hard for alot and finding the right combo for the right nan is also becoming an issue.

So if you have this information we are asking that you share it on the Thread to help us create a list that everyone can benifit from.

Steps included, because they are a smidgen different than some. .

1. Power on Vim.
2. Use a tweezer to short-circuit the two pads of M register and without release.
3. Short press Reset key and release it to boot into upgrade mode

Managed to short the NAND for the Mecool KM8 P with the s912 chip and the Samsung KLMAG2WEPD-B031 eMMC. Originally the Amlogic burning tool was sticking at 4%, however a change of cable did the trick. So do persevere!
