In the kit there is a folder called ROM.

Within that folder you will find all of the ROM files. There is a file called "parameter" this file is set to flash 2gb user app space. If you want a larger app space then pick which of the other parameter.txt files you want to use. Rename the "parameter" file to "parameter2"...then rename the parameter file you picked to "parameter" without .txt on the end (no extension).

When you run the flash tool, this new parameter file will be loaded and you will get that much user app space. Keep in mind, it subtracts from the internal SD space available.

After the flash, it needs to run recovery to set up the mounts for storage. Stock recovery does this all automatically, but most users prefer CWM Recovery because of more options. You must scroll down and clear the cache in CWM then reboot to the system. That is the normal progression of flashing the ROM.

Brilliant, many thanks ! And just realized that you put a readme file in the same folder with all the info...pfff ...sorry

I did well waiting for your response before going forward and reload my titanium backup...

      Cheers

Edit : by the way, there is no multi-user feature in this one, Pipo didn't enable it...

thanks for the AU version! installed successfully and running great. That particular site still wont play video but I'm pretty sure it's the sites compatability with android. Thanks again!

Everybody...if you want to, you can use a root explorer and go to system/media and delete the bootanimation.zip. Then you will just get the generic Android boot logo.
Randy, I'm using ES Explorer, I locate the bootanimation.zip but I just can't delete it. I get a message that the file could not be deleted. What am I doing wrong? I have superuser installed but I don't really know how to work with it. Am I missing some sort of permission?

Just go into preferences/settings of ES File Explorer and give it superuser privledges. You will get a Superuser message to confirm the change. Then you can delete the file.

Be careful not to delete anything else, though.

Did it flicker in stock ROM?

Randy, thanks for the boot animation fix, man.
It came with 4.2 installed and always flickered unfortunately, sometimes it will stop for as long as a couple of hours and start flickering again,i was thinking that it may be due to the way its assembled, the nexus 7 had the same flicker symptoms and one simple fix was to isolate the GND point of the wifi antanna with a piece of tape.If i get bored i might try something similar, the m9 is full of glue and tape maybe mine recieved half a roll less tape than the others and adding another half will fix it,for the moment i seem to be having success using lux auto brightness,no flickering since i installed it an hour ago but time will tell

I'm using MX player,it plays everything and I like the way its easy to toggle subtitles along with hardware decoding,in the past I've come across some files that would only play with software decoding and MX player makes it easy to see if its enabled or not

Just got it done, Randy. Thanks for all the help. The custom 1.7 animation boot was a lot cooler but it's no biggie. Also, when I booted the tablet without an animation, it would assume that i was holding the tablet vertically and it took a couple of seconds for the unlock screen to rotate horizontally. It's all sorted out now...

I need to figure out why the boot animation isn't working.

The screens were originally 1280x800. For the fix, I shrunk them down to 1280x752...the same size as my previous boot screens for the M9.

Can someone download an app that tells what the actual screen resolution is on the M9 for verification? I would like to get this working properly.

What's not working...the whole ROM, or the boot animations? Realize that the black screen takes a while before the system loads...so be patient.

In 4.2.2, permissions have changed for adding files...I will look at that.
