i got the last version (with factory Android TV os and the voice remote).
I am very happy of this box. it works smooth and netflix is working

Just a curioisty rather than an exigence, is android tv 8 gonna be released for this or nothing is planned?

It is highly doubtful, but Videostrong and Mecool are leading the pack in advanced support for these boxes. They are the first to include the Android TV OS on these inexpensive boxes and the first to add an inexpensive Bluetooth Voice Remote. The other manufactures are SLOWLY starting to catch up.

I found a way to watch Amazon prime contents on this device.

It can't be done through the Amazon app as we all know now, if nothing has changed since the last time I tried, but it can be done through Kodi. All you need is

Kodi 18 Leila (I used the latest Nightly)
Amazon addon by Sandmann79 (it can be installed through this repo https://github.com/Sandmann79/xbmc/r...gins-1.0.2.zip)

Once finished installing, open the Amazon video or Amazon Vod addon (depending on the country you live in), and configure it by entering your email, password and the secret code that will be sent to your email account. Then it will automatically install some add-ons upon which it depends and ask you to enable Inputstream. Don't forget to select "playback with Input stream" during the configuration.
There can be still issues with the subtitles, otherwise the add-on works like a charm... I tried HD stream so far, I haven't tried full HD yet.

Amazon have release new generic APP "Prime Video" for lot of device, now Ultra HD and audio 5.1 work with some device: MI box , tecnicolor skipper ecc..

That is interesting...... I can't test, because I don't subscribe to Amazon prime. Also, by using the firmware from April 17, I believe on the older "L" boxes, it includes the Playready DRM support.

Repeat it wont work, amazon doesn't let it work yet on generic atv devices as these.. Tried a week ago for crashes.. Here's some proof of incompatibility .

lot of device are not official support yet, but installing APK prime video 4.7.9 apk playback work like mi box.

looun, maybe in the future you could test things like this for us and share with us??

Concerning the file posted on reddit, it is a nice interface for Android TV OS, but still will not work, just a constant loop when trying to play a video then an error.

YES, it DOES NOT work. I wish something did. Best solution so far was mentioned above by mymo.

I haven't found one either, but I did find a BlueTooth Voice Remote, but not with a real air mouse.......... for less than $8 USD. Great for Kodi and the Android TV OS, but not very good for the touch screen versions of Android...........
