What's basically the difference between Android 7.1 and Android TV 7.1? how can I check the exact version I have? thanks

On my Mecool M8S Pro L I am now getting "Check Failed! Check your OTA server agent." What does this mean and how do I fix this?

I made my own backup rom share.
TWRP BACKUP ROM LB Version

Other people have reported that they could get past that screen using the Android app on their Android phone, but I could not get it to work for me. I was able to get to different screens, but it kept coming back to that pairing screen. If you have an Android cell phone, give it a try, you may get lucky.

What is the DPI setting for this firmware?
Magendanz's ROM is using 240 dpi and RaiPlay crashes at start,
but if lcd.density is modified in build.prop to 320 dpi
it works perfectly...

Because I'm an ATV newbie, can someone explain where is located this build.prop file and how to change it (maybe installing a ssh server or a terminal app)?

I've installed an ssh server app and I've found build.prop file under system directory. I've edited it and now ray play for atv works well!!!

Hi Guys,

before i do flash just want to confirm steps.

I have new Pro L box - would like install this rom.

So steps to install:
Download SCV1 - copy zip to SD card and then Install via local update app
after sucessfull update
Download SCV2 OTA - copy zip to SD card and then Install via local update app
---
This way will be TWRP and all installed no additional steps needed? as the 1st page steps are very "simple/short" written

killeriq, if you have a m8s pro L with a serial number ending with LB you must not install these roms because they aren't compatible with the LB version of m8s pro L (it has a new wifi-BT chipset).

At the moment, there isn't any firmware available to download for these boxes (LB version with or without the voice remote) apart the original one that comes pre-installed from mecool factory.
