Can anyone help me how to get DTS pass through XBMC ? I tried all setting in XBMC but no hope . I'm currently running Finless 1.5a Rom ,and XBMC XAF version + MX player. Please help me

Oka.... My X7 is a 2nd batch machine, so maybe that was firxed by factory after the 1st batch shipped....

May I ask how you identified your unit as a 2nd batch machine? (Mine is away for replacement)

no 1080 resolution in hdmi options in minix x7

sorry for asking probably obvious things but using 720p/1080i capable LCD TV i don't find 1080 options in hdmi settings.
I don't see there any resolution above 720p. My TV tells it's 720p as well.
Why i don't have 1080 resoluition in hdmi options? Is minix neo x7 flashed with finless 1.5a and latest official 20130822 1080fb rom not capable of 1080i
Your help is very appreciated

Just going by what was posted on the Geekbuying website. I had not placed my order until after they indicated that all first batch machines had been sold, I had to wait for the 2nd batch before it was shipped.

While reading the "Minix Forum" this morning, I noticed that someone had tried the 1.4a Finless kernel with the 1.5a Finless rom! I don't know if that is kosher or not, but he said it was working good. That the video was much smoother and the audio passthrough was working.

If that is an okay thing to do... I guess I will upgrade to it. What do we call it... the half-n-half rom??

Interlaced video, 1080i or 720i, is easier to display for some TVs. But it is definitely harder for computers to generate, if the source material is not interlaced to begin with. Computer generated video is inherently progressive, not interlaced. As we have been seeing, however, it can be difficult for TVs to display progressive video without juddering (this is why interlaced video was invented in the first place -- to make video appear smoother when the underlying equipment wasn't capable of delivering a smooth progressive display).

Anyway, I suspect that these ARM type systems aren't capable of generating interlaced video from a progressive source.

But would it be posible to base a custom rom on strauzo's rom?


Strauzo like A clean rom so a few things are missing but the rom seams rock steady and all x7 hardware is supported. So would this not be a nice base for a custom rom by you?

That would be really awesome. I have currently finless 1.5 rom,running smoothly,but would really love the best of both.

Do you others have sound problem when you are on WiFi??? You hear the sound but it's noisy??
It's only when i am on ethernet.

Well, every now and then the sound gets a bit crackly with some louder ticking when using hdmi audio, not using headphone out. It seemed to get a little better with a different HDMI-cable. I never linked it to wifi since I'm only using ethernet. I thought I noticed a link with a lot of white on screen. Interesting to see if it is linked to wifi... I'm using 1.4a 1080p now.

Just try to hear something in Tunein radio and multitask enter browser. Then you can hear zzzzzddszzss.. Noise.. Damn it's annoying..
