UPDATED - Minix Neo X7 - Finless 1.5a ROM

Please Help. I am trying to install some good games. I am on Finless 1.5. for my MiniX X7. with 14GB Parameter file I can not install any game that wants to put extra game data in. Anyone knows how to fix please let me know. I have tried GTA III, Modern Combat 4. No go stays on downloading game for over 24 hours.. Shows like it is downloading extra game data and nothing.

Side note i want to use my SD slot and it won't take a stick. I put it in and it never clicks and locks in. Im thinking of opening it up to see why its stock in eject mode. tried several different brands Any ideas on this. Don't want to go through an RMA and be without this Awesome device.

Some games want to put data on internal sdcard! The 14gb parameter file does not leave you enough space on sdcard. I warned about that a while ago.
Don't use it if you have games that MUST use internal sdcard for data.

setting the output to 1080p 24hz does elimate
the juddering!!, ive just tried it! now is there a way to output 1080p 24hz when its required?

having it set at 24hz, the pointer doesnt look like it moves smooth, but everything else does.

if we could be set at 50/60hz then it outputs at 24hz when playin media that would be amazing

only tested it 720p movies as i dont have any 1080p stuff

Awesome ROM

Hey Bob,
I haven't had much time yet but I've spent about an hour so far testing the 1.5 ROM on the X7 and its really good. I think its a big very improvement over the 1.4a. I haven't had any lock ups at all yet. Plus the image quality looks really good probably the best Ive seen an any AMP so far. Really Love the larger icons too. So far Id give this ROM a 10.

I have tried the 1080p with Airpin Kernel. Unfortunately I am unable to get smooth video:

xbmc (libstagefright hw acceleration)
Diceplayer (with hw acceleration)
Stockplayer

are all choppy (even 720p is not smooth all the time).

Anyway, thanks for your work! At least, I have no stability problems with this fw. But without smooth 1080p playback, the X7 is no use for me. I hope there is still room for improvement, as the hardware should be more than capable of 1080p Video..

Maybe the problem is your video file or the software used for playing. I used both MX player and the archos video software on 1080p mkv and it works very smoothly. When playing things like MTS files from my camcorder it can be slightly choppy sometimes. Try Archos video player and see if that helps.

Yes I am missign the power off option also. I just figured you lef it out for some reason. Not a big deal because I can just use a reboot app. Or maybe it was left out becasue the minix ROM was a beta ROM.

I watched Avatar Directors Cut 1080p mp4 format without any issues!

I later watched latest Star Trek Into Darkness in 1080p - MKV & it was awful. I had to use my Mede8er MED500X to play it back - which was faultless. All streamed from my NAS over a Homeplug AV network.

I use Archos (may favourite) plus Dice, MX etc etc. All of my 1080p videos play perfectly on my Nexus 7 / Galaxy S3.
