I've rkm mk39 box. N6 max firmware worked out of the box for me.
Vice versa maybe it s worth of checking mk39 firmware.IR Remote might be concern,getting usb tybe remote will work it out

Last firmware (180922) is specific about IR remote,others work well with NEC remote.

Yes I have N6, it has bugs still.
Google sign-in is good now, But...

A short list of bug problems:

1) 10 bit /h264-5 video is Not Stable/ Smooth.

2) Type C port Not Working.

3) Screensaver not working. Sleep is buggy, and wakes without remote used.

4) DRM: Not Available, None?

Are you working on FW to fix these?
Can you ETA the update?

Other owners of the N6 say that you use a Beta Android. They say that you will never be able to fix the problems with a beta OS. IS THIS TRUE?

We at the public forum of freaktab.com have a member, who is also professional developer. He is great with rockchip SOC.

I am asking that you sponsor him a testing n6 max.
Magicsee is welcome to the results from his work.
The potential performance of this box is not reached yet. But, I have great hope to see it.

Hey bergamesk....go buy the Nvidia Shield you will enjoy it, I got mine at Christmas time for a good price, Amazon now has them 166.00 not bad either, but the good thing is, it is a worry free streaming device, i havent played any games on it yet, cause i have a Tanix TX92 box set up for games, but i am pretty sure it will be great for gaming to.

Try the flashing from the SD Card, that the best and `safest method.
Is your TV getting proper signal from the box. As this box has HDMI handshake issues.

I think that's the primary (first ) issue.
It's not addressing the tv, then for a second TV reports link, the generic (?) splash... then dead connect.

Log concerns me about the ports, possible conflict.
I am fairly confident a clean fresh update will get it done.

Is the 1.4g file dl file an OTA flash type??
