At 110$, and undoubtedly 130$ soon... One should reasonably expect the advertised and relatively stable performance. Shield or not.

I have not reviewed this item as such, made mention it existed and currently cheap i think as I normally do, you know as much as me.

I don't absorb a lot to what other people say, no point getting all uptight an over the top over something I have not experienced.

Buy a Shield if you want, but its locked down so to speak and maybe limited for what you want to do.
Yes there is workarounds like there maybe workarounds for this box

You buy, if its faulty they try to fix or refund that all they can do.
Yes there are loops you need to go thru Pictures Videos etc etc, they pass that info to Maker to see if there is a fix possible
As they are not the local Y'all-Mart problems dealing with issues is always going to be about.

Previous Magicsee products have been OK.

There is a contact at magicsee, ask them avoid the middle man.
But as you don't have the unit yet, what can they do for you NOW ?

Magicsee also are sellers and may need to get intouch with the software Dev to resolve problems,

If he is in AU he will be on holidays for a few weeks to come Sun Beach and Booze and would mention Babes but that is being UPC or something

Apprehension is raised I think cause I can barely get around an amlogic... Fumbling back from the "edge" a couple of lucky times.
Not so confident about a rock, but lust for horsepower got me.

I must have mixed up your reviews, but I thought ran an antutu, etc. My bad.

Correctly though, the issues are too far away for much concern... perhaps none?
... 'Like to think so, it's 2019 & s/b an ez obstacle.

btw, I'm not a 35$ disposable box guy, nor a 200$ "restricted" device man. Had My budget allowed, probably gone with rkm39. Maybe next Santa.

So I am requesting that GB get your own n6 for a look-see. Maybe they'd get you a sunvell A95X Max 4/64 H6 too. Perhaps a good performer for the middle budget minded.

Ran the Antutu benchmark got 80023. Which is less than stellar. I suppose if magicsee were to optimize the Firmware it will get a higher score. I saw this box get a score of 100000 but i was sale mislead.

the idle temperatures are good. Saw the device got maximum of 65-68 while playing YouTube and Netflix.

The CPU throttles down when idle. Apologies to everyone it is not a bug. It must have been running something in the background when i tested it. Hope this helps.

I have seen elsewhere that the heatsink has been misaligned just a bit, corrected temp dropped about 15f. Any lower temp should return a little higher score.
Looks to me like taller skid pads for more bottom clearance might help the "chimney " cooling effect.

The lid is sadly plastic Mate, however it is vented from all sides. So we place a USB fan in exhaust mode (blowing air away) from the box it should be sufficient cooled. I have a old set of laptop fans will install and check if it changes the scores.

But the device has a certain amount of heft to it.. i suppose the heatsink should be beefy.
