Against trebor's review... That gives me 50/50 odds, we'll see.
I Will Be Very Interested to hear what magicsee has to say Sounds on the basics, your device should never made it past QC/QA testing. ??! not good.

this Experience was not needed , hope you will get your Money back , stay on

Please, make sure that version updates are available as an ota type sd card file.
A simple download to card or thumb drive, then "plug and play".

I, and others, have NO PC, Nor know the pc process of flashing or boot card building.
Still we Need your help to keep our N6 working properly and safely.

whenever and whatever problem you have,you will get our support.
About the updates,
You have two ways to upgrade,
1.upgrade via Android tool on PC (If the device can not work, upgrade on PC can solve all problem)
we make a video about how to upgrade,you will fimd it is easy.
2.upgrade via OTA
You can download the OTA version firmware onto a USB disk, run the Newotaupgrade APP,it can upgrade automatically
If your box can work,but have some little bug,this way can be easier.

"Type-C Port issue" and they will release firmware for that,like a joke

Another serious issue is;if you have High-bit-rate videos(1080p) such as 10-Mb/sc or 14 or 15-Mb/sc this Device wont play properly!
even default player MediaCenter or MXPlayer WTF

BUT all those videos(High bit rate) smooth play with KODI

Note;I mean MP4 or MKV etc.,>> 1080p-10bit/sc or 14bit/sc files! if your files less than 10bit/sec such as 4/5/6/8.... play fine!
So you can not play 10bit/sc and more files(except KODI)

HDMI-CEC does not work!

Resolution section;you can not select "AUTO"!! its goes to 1280x720

Found another issue today!

If you Off your device from Remote(long press red button for power off) than you select ; "Power Off" than the box goes to Off(not deep off)
and if you wait for example 30min or longer(1/2/3 hrs) than you cant turn On your device(long press or any other press type) device
wouldnt ON and so,you have to remove your power cable and connect again!! this is suck

No wonder they now have it on special on GB to clear old faulty stock perhaps
Always strange that they posted sdcard method to upgrade firmware, now we now why.

MediaCodec in Kodi must be supported otherwise if you turn it off, it uses CPU for video playback and there will be a lot of background noise in videos as the CPU is not made for video decoding like the VPU, which is now disabled. CPU usage will also increase from 10% to 70-100% and cause heating issues if playing 1080p and 4K won't be possible with MediaCodec disabled.
Really poor firmware if they don't support MediaCodec.

Also why no Android 8 or 9 firmware, only Nougat?

On RK3328 devices, Kodi 4K HDR runs perfect even with auto frame-rate switching, which is not supported here.

yep you right but this Box really crazy

KODI must be used those necessary Codecs BUT if you turn ON those 2 codecs than videos freeze/stopped!!! I'v already tried a lot and its not played
if you selected(ON)

So,I have to turn OFF and than played well(CPU assisted) otherwise not played if they ON position

The problem here is the implementation of mediacodec in rk android 7 is very bad (if not broken in major "cheap" boxes), something they "fixed" mostly by default in 8.1 sdk.

if you are more a Video User , why not buy a RK3328 Box like MVR9 , Dev. Mo123 supports this Box ,

think all kind of Files are running well on his Roms & Kodi , u can look in the Rom Thread for more Info ,

hope you find a good Box for your needs , greetings / gefattern
