Can anyone try to install dolphin emu?
Or at least give me a link for the dolphin Android tv app. I want to try the new Mali-G31GPU. It supposedly support vulkan and opengl pretty good. I want something like this image.

I don't think it has vulkan, I tried installing Ark survival evolved and it started but said this device doesn't support vulkan.

Was able to boot it by placing it on sdcard and holding switch inside box. The display is not right. Was able to make a backup but flashing magisk or superuser failed. It let me delete unused keyboard in system/app folder, Just deleted it to test.

Will try this probably on the weekend. I installed VLC player and enabled audio passthrough. DD, DTS and DTS MA HD are bit streaming to AV receiver using VLC. Dolby True HD and Dolby Atmos are decoded and sent as PCM stereo.

Since I am new to Android TV not quite sure if there is a possibility to replace the stock launcher with alternate ones from playstore or Aptiode (without ROOT) Can you guys help me and also suggest any good ones. I dont like that many of the sideloaded apps cannot be pinned to launcher and also want to turn off the youtube and google play recommendations, use that space in a better way.

I tried Nova launcher and it didn't work properly. Don't know if others will just have to try them. You can turn off YouTube and Google play recommendations if you keep going down to bottom of home screen.

Thanks! I did a bit of reading and found out that since Oreo 8.0 the default ATV launcher cannot be easily replaced by 3rd party launchers without root. There is an adb command based method mentioned in Nvidia shield thread but it requires device driver for the box to connect to adb terminal on PC. I dont know if we will be able to do that for this box (??).

Youtube and Google play recommendations can be turned off but we cannot use that space for any purpose correct? But I think i found an alternative called HALauncher which lets you create custom channels (look like youtube recommendations row) and put you apps (I hope sideloaed non ATV apps as well) in that. I will need to try this out.

Trebor, with your knowledge do you know if anybody has a S912 (or similar) unit in the works which will be both google and netflix certified?

Recently tested the H96Max which seems to have identical hardware & specs to the KM9 and also has the same issues.

Will certainly give some time and check back for solutions.

So if I install a launcher from play store it will automatically replace the stock launcher? Then its good. Will try ATV launcher today, it got good reviews in play store.

Mecool M8S Pro L is now. Officially not Netflix certified but plays Netflix at 1080P.

I sold it and it came back because it has a UK plug that I did not even check. Dope! I used the M*s power supply just to make sure it wasn't DOA. When it came back, I tested it .
