      Herzie,

I used Google Chrome and somehow it flagged the file as harmful but I went to the downloaded folder and clicked on the Keep button to finish the download.

Not sure if you got the same thing.

I will try this, but the same thing happened with es file explorer (it has a downloader), so apparently not chrome. But will try anyway.

              Michael,

My box is fine with Nand Flash and External SD Card with the new firmware. Both mounted correctly and worked fine.

If your Nand Flash not mounted then do these steps:

              1) Go to /Settings/Storage/Nand Flash
              2) Do mount Nand Flash if it not currently mounted.
              3) If you get "Blank Internal Flash" message down in the status bar then click on it from the status bar. You will get a message that it needs to be formatted before use then just go ahead and format it. It should work fine after formatted.

                  Michael,

Does your device boots faster and runs hotter with the new firmware compare to the previous firmware? My device AnTuTu gave a scoring of 18560 and touching the box feel a little hot.

I also had a Minix Neo 7 box and over clocked it and the best AnTuTu gave is a scoring of 17000+ but it runs a lot cooler or the case is cool when touching it.

                  Thanks.

                    Hello xatang2013,

                    Currently ... No ...

I am going to try to see if my Sleep Bug is still there ...
I go to Setting and Debug and check stay awake ... if power is present ...
And IT was Shutting off over night and it should not .. .

Also Do You have a issue with the Power Button .. My Power Button
Use to Go to Sleep with One press now I have to Hold it and select Sleep
otherwise it turns off and I have to Get up and Use the switch on top to restart the unit ... ??

My usb remote power button goes to sleep ok, but my ir remote turns off the unit and I have to get up and use the power button on the box to turn it back on ...

                    Do You ??

You can Ask Wasser if the kernel is over clock ...
I am NOT sure But I do Know that the Wassers Kernels When NOT over Clock do
Hit 18400-18600 on Antutu set at 1.6 ghz which is normal clock rate ...

Both my boxes (K-r42 & T-r42) run warm but not hot ...

                    Michael T.

                      Michael,

I never have the Sleep Bug you mentioned. If I have the "Stay Awake" checked in the Developer options then it stayed on forever and never shut down. Not with the previous firmware and not with this new firmware.

The Sleep/Awake through IR remote never worked right for me. I always have to press and hold the Power button on the remote to bring up the Sleep/Reboot/Power Off screen. With previous firmware if I do Sleep through IR remote then I can't wake it up through IR remote. I have to push the little button on the device to wake it up. Wasser is trying to fix the Sleep/Wake Up with IR remote with the new firmware but it is still buggy. It is working but not consistent. For me 1st and 2nd times Sleep/Wake Up fine through remote. It didn't do the 3rd times then I have to push the little button on the device to wake it up.

The new firmware I would say close to perfection for me if the Sleep/Wakes Up/Reoot/Power Off working through IR Remote.

you cannot wake up your t-r42 from "Power off state", it's not supported from the hardware. But wake up from Standby/Sleep mode should work with IR remote. I uploaded new 1080p kernel. I hope with this kernel you can wake your t-r42 from Standby/Sleep mode with the stock IR remote.

                        please test and report, thanks!

                          Hello Wasser,

First, Thank You for all of your hard work ...

I wanted to know is there a setting in one of the .kl files so that When I press the IR remote Once it
Sleeps like my USB remote does ... And Then I could Press it Long Time to Get Menu Option ...

I noticed Very strange Behavior Last Night Testing Ir Remote ...
If I turn on power and Start Player (From Button on player)... Remote Will Turn off Player When I press Power Button ...and NOT wake up ...

But If (Press IR long Time ) and I reboot From Power Menu then the power Button Will Sleep like USB remote ... after Reboot ... Very strange ..

                          I hope this helps ...

I will do testing today on NEW firmware ... thanks again

                          Michael T.

Thanks Wasser for the new Kernel.

I came from the traditional media players and might be asking too much for what the device can handle ATM.

For me either stay on forever with the Stay Awake checked or Sleep request by me through IR remote. If Sleep then I want to wake it up through IR remote. Hope the new kernel finally fixed the Sleep issue then I am all set.

                              Thanks.

there's a url for k-42-kernel. With this kernel i don't have any problem with wakeup the k-r42 with the stock ir-remote.
