Ok...can someone please explain what is going on during the first boot of this new version? Are there app installation choices? What app is there to check or uncheck this folder?

On first reboot there are three choices. 1/ CHANGE TIMEZONE 2/ EN_APK_INSTALL with a block next to it - this must be UNTICKED 3/ CHANGE LANGUAGE

That's causing all the hassles. Same as KastyRom

I'm afraid the only way to eliminate that stuff on first boot is to do away with the Pipo Launcher and the apps associated with it. I had requests to keep that in, so the best I could do was to leave the initialization screens in place. They only appear on the first boot.

The English apps folder is now empty, because much of what was there was the usual bloatware that Pipo adds...which again requires you to initialize them on first boot. You have to untick that selection because there isn't anything there to install anymore.

Either I leave some of it in, or all of it out. The bonus of taking them out is that it leaves more space in the system to do other things.

While testing my latest M7 Pro ROM, I found that deleting the provision.apk file causes problems with the home button not working, so I had to leave that in to keep from loosing functionality of the device. I don't know if the same problem exists on the M9 Pro ROM. So, I'm a little puzzled as to where to head with this issue at the moment.

Since I don't have an M9 Pro to test on, it would be great if you can keep reporting your findings.

Big Wifi Problem

Hello i want to thank you for your work. I have successfully download and installed the OTA version. My problem is that my wifi is very unstable. It keeps disconnecting after only 1-2 min. I wanted to ask if there is any solution for this.

I can not change put double language nor change the default keyboard even if i installed another keyboard from playstore . I really need the muitiple language option since i live in russia. Please really need some help..

Dont belief a single moment that ticking/unticking the en.apk install wont cause any problems and "give provision error" message. I was on Kasty ROm prior to this unticking and ticking that particular #3 box doesnt do any good it still goes to "provision error message" MY best bet is that by removing the whole system/en_app folder and its supporting apk in the data/apk will help. As with the stock firmware if you dont tick the install en_.apk it will boot up into a Chinese only interface but you can change to English after accessing the settings page.In our customs ROM KASTY and RILEYS the chinese cz_apps folder were empty and remains only the en-app folder which has shadows or the *.nm files for the *.apk files (but NO .apk files installed) . Somewhere between this discovery lies the solution.
Either disable the #3 box to install en.apk or totally remove the whole of the en_app folder altogether since there are no corresponding apk.

Hello i want to thank you for your work. I have successfully download and installed the OTA version. My problem is that my wifi is very unstable. It keeps disconnecting after only 1-2 min. I wanted to ask if there is any solution for this.

I had this issues with a lot of my tabs and the folowing solutions were found , it is unique to all pads but this one is for PiPo M9Pro only.
First you must be able to access the root/ directory and be able to do changes in there RW instead of RO dont use the stock FileExplorer search for RootExplorer on Playstore (free and paid).
With the attached "add_xml_file" I attached put/copy all the files in the system/etc/permissions folder and set the permission and ownership to root/root.(Important) >>>:add_xml files.zip

Then go to the build.prop and edit out the line "TxPower=100" by putting in "##TxPower=100" it will disable the line.

Then go and downlaod "WiFIButler" app from playstore. or WiFiButler.apk.zip

Then download this app Wifi Tx Power to control the Tranmit Receive power and set the settings to 18db currently it is at 32db for factory or customs ROM (you can use this WiFI TxPower for any other device provided that you put in "iwconfig" file in either/xbin or /bin folder Google it and check first whether your device already have it (M9 Pro already have this and is supported without any other drivers)

Give it a few reboots and when it catches ON it will stick. I have this same problems on my custms ROM the Wifi is always grey out No BLUE icon. now after everyreboot and when WifiButler kicks in it is a steady BLUE icon all through its sleep and out of sleep.The frist few boots it is still in learning mode and resetting its internals give it a few minutes every time and dont hit that WiFi off switch.Until everthing is stable(after a few reboots give it around 10 mins before another reboot)

Replacing with SuperSU

Can you please tell me how to change the superuser app to superSU. I am new to android.

Just downlaod the SuperSU from playstore and it will do the rest when you click on the SupeSU app.
