Pipo M9 Max RileyROM 2.0

    Pipo M9 Max RileyROM 2.0

    I found a new firmware for the Pipo M9 Max dated 10-18-2013. This is based on official Pipo firmware. This is for both 3G and wifi versions.

    This ROM is:

    Rooted
    Debloated
    init.d support
    Busybox support
    Expanded Ext4 file system
    CWM backup added
    2, 4, 6 or 8gb user app space

    Boot Animations by Tattman65
    Reboot app by Petrus
    Flash Tool by Finless
    First Time User's Guide by Pr0xZen

    Also, thanks to FT member CiDsTaR , I've developed and tested a working version of this ROM for the OLD PCB version of this tablet. Since the Old PCB version can't activate the Pipo Launcher, I had to remove it from the Old PCB version.

      This will need some testing. Revert back to 1.9 if you have any problems. Let me know how it goes. I'll me out with my family for the rest of the night. Fingers crossed.

        1rst reboot is ongoing...

        One thing regarding parameter file, there is only 3 file in the folder (parameter / parameter8 / parameter12), Is this normal? In previous ROMs, you added parameter file for 4Go and 6Go...

        Anyway, I copy the 6Go from an old ROM and paste it in the folder.

          After 25min, it's still no booting... It's blocked on the boot animation screen.
          I don't know if it's something related to the parameter file that I took from the old ROM

            Riley Rom 2.0

            I succesfully flashed the rom....in the boot animation it writes RileyRom 1.6 and i was shocked a little but i saw that the rom is 18/10/2013 so i didn't do something wrong.Anyway,the rom is perfect...not any lag kai very smooth.It also have the default launchere and Pipo's launcher also.More lately....

            Edit:where is the cwm?It doesn't have cwm....

              Hi, Can you tell if this ROM has multi window feature? It would be a point of reference if you could run antutu benchmark to see what scores the tablet reaches with this new ROM. Thanks.

                Ok this firmware seems to be ONLY for 3G version, not for WiFi. I have tried several times, even with the default parameter file (I was thinking it was the root cause) and it was same...blocked on the animation boot (BTW I confirmed what kosfil said, it writes 1.6 version at this moment).

                I revert back to 1.9 waiting for a stable/good one

                  I just changed that based on the most popular sizes people are using. The default is now 4gb.

                    Thanks for the update. I've been having trouble with the boot screens, lately...something has changed. I'll try to post an update soon. I'm tied up today at my son's baseball tournament. Maybe tonight. Let me think about a solution.

                      I have flashed with my Pipo Wifi and its working perfect for me. So i can confirm that this works on Wifi only. Only strange thing is that it shows 1.6 instatt of 2.0 by starting up

                        Thanks for the new release, Randy. I´m still on 1.9, as i've had no screen flickering for a long time. Is the flickering still an issue with v2.0?

                          Hi,no multiwindow from pipo and i beleive they will never give us this option.Antutu skore 19641 like Riley 1.9a.

                          I don't know if it is only for 3g but i have wifi model and i can say that the rom is really fast.........what about you?In properties writes 18/10/13 so it is the last rom.....It is the first rom that has the Pipo launcher and when i opened the tablet after flashing it asked me to certificate it to people....What the f.....k?



                          Edit:IT HAS MULTIWINDOW.....YES IT HAS....THERE IS AN OPTION IN PROPERTIES AND JUST ACTIVATE IT........

                            Ok, thanks for the info...I still don't figure out what was going wrong with my flash (it's not the 1rst time I do this).

                            But you give me inputs to don't migrate to this one: the only valuable reason for me it's the multi window option, followed by the multiuser.

                            Seems I need to wait until....until when by the way? Not sure Pipo will do something for early M9 adopters...

                              I think that this will be the last rom from Pipo.......every thing works and i only want to check the skype.......19641 on Antutu and 5322 on Quadrant.I will stay with this rom to see if it is stable.
