I noticed that too. Everything else works great
Also the resolution Screen Specs is reporting is 1280x752 px.

It is funny. I tested further and found it you set live wallpaper and will work but then application list background become black

Ok this firmware seems to be ONLY for 3G version, not for WiFi. I have tried several times, even with the default parameter file (I was thinking it was the root cause) and it was same...blocked on the animation boot (BTW I confirmed what kosfil said, it writes 1.6 version at this moment).

I revert back to 1.9 waiting for a stable/good one

Actually, for testing you can just delete the bootanimation.zip in system/media. That will accomplish the same thing. Right now, the one I'm using is a modified version of the stock bootanimation.

I think that firmware is almost ideal and best for M9. I think the only major issue is the wallpaper background setup for additional users.

Hi everyone.

I have tried to install this ROM in a Pipo Max M9 old pcb, copying old kernel.img file instead of 2.0 one. Everything seems to work ok but Its impossible to turn wifi on.

Anyone with same problem?? any solution?

I think wifi was the main difference between the two versions...and it looks like the drivers weren't build into the kernel.

Let me see if I can copy over the wifi drivers from the old PCB ROM into this one. You will need to test it for me, since I don't have one of those tablets.

As far as known the only problems are that Antutu is crashing, another user cannot use a different background than the normal black background and that the bootanimation is in the wrong dimensions (?)

Could you fix background wallpaper changing in Multi-User mode? Thanks in advance. Overall firmware is good, except trouble I described earlier regarding wallpaper for additional users, it is always black. If I set any static wallpaper, main launcher and lock screen is always black and background applied only to application list. If I set live-wallpaper, main laucher screen is showing this wallpaper, but application list window become black.

Also only small cosmetic change - version in bootlogo is shown as 1.6.

I'm not sure I can do anything about the wallpaper for the 2nd user...Multi-User is a feature that Pipo doesn't support, that I've added. I'll see what I can do.

I'll get Tattman65 to work on a new boot animation I'll add in a few days.

The good news is that I managed to get a working version of this ROM for users of the old PCB version of this tablet. Check post #1 for the changed links.

Did anyone find out what the actual screen resolution was?
