Thanks that would be awesome to try a new rom. Would definitiy like to explore the possibilities of the tincore app for gestures and xbox controller/touch screen games.

In the meantime I've just installed your 1.5a rom 720p no OC with wifi fix. One silly minor issue, I'm not that happy with the mouse pointer! Is there an option to change it?

To change mouse pointer there is need to be changed the framework cursor icon.

I finally got around to trying out this rom. I used Leolas' latest kernels, and started out with the 1920 mhz kernel, 1080P with overclocked RAM and GPU, wifi fix. It wouldn't boot - it would start to boot, and then I'd get green "snow" on my screen. I tried flashing it twice, then used the kernel overclocked to 1800 mhz. It has worked great since then. I figured I could try the higher overclock - since I have heatsinks on both sides of my QX1, but no.

Overall - this is the best QX1 rom yet. I'd tried Finless 1.4 and 1.5 previously.

Wifi - seems to work great. I had one annoying situation where my wifi speed was really slow despite reporting an excellent 150mbps connection. Turning wifi on and off gave me speedy wifi again, I'll see if it occurs anymore. Since then - I've been playing 1080P videos off my network without issue.

Netflix - works great without the exposed framework, unless Leolas baked it in? The only issue I've seen is that the quality varies through a movie - occasionally it will become more pixellated.

Bluetooth - Better than Finless 1.5. It searches when it's supposed to. Unfortunately - bluetooth quality is not good. My headset audio stutters and is out of sync with videos. By comparison - my old trusty Uhost2 had nearly flawless bluetooth. I think this will be a hardware shortfall - I'm not expecting a fix ever.

Bluetooth Gamepad - I'd given up on using sixaxis, for some reason I think it's incompatible with this stick. My girlfriend bought me a Moga Hero Power for my birthday - and it works great for my phone and Tegra Note 7. It works with the QX1 - but range is less than 4 feet. Any more than that and the connection will drop regularly. I think I'm going to go to my regular wifi joystick and emulators for this stick.

Gameloft Fix - I think it's working well. I successfully played Asphalt 8 and Modern Combat 4 using my Moga. I had occasional screen tears, or pixellation on my 1080P screen, but the games still looked good. On Asphalt 8, I kicked the graphics up to high - and still had a good frame rate. Unfortunately I couldn't run Nova 3 because I didn't have enough space available? I selected the 4GB option - and the game repeatedly told me that more space was needed. Next time I upgrade - I may try the 2GB and 6GB options.

Besides that - the rom and/or kernel are more power hungry than my previous options. I was originally using my TV's 2 USB ports to power my stick, and it was great because powering on the TV powered on the stick. But now I had to use the power supply for my Tegra Note 7. Not a big issue for me. On a side note, I was also hoping that this ROM would allow me to connect my Bionic Lapdock, but no matter what power supply I used - I got excessive artifacts and screen blinking.

Mele F10 air mouse/keyboard - It works great, except the android specific buttons no longer work. Back works, but home and settings do not. I should look up mapping software to see if I can fix that.

Finally - I was hoping wifi display would work, but like Finless 1.5 - I couldn't connect my tablet. There was repeated failure trying to initiate a connection from either device.

Overall - this is a great ROM. Thank you Leolas for the support.

Thanks for your feedback, now I am with a friends group working for a Rom for the X7 (quickshot Rom), soon I expect to port our quickshot v2 for the qx1. And new kernels using the last minix sources too. We need to finish it, and just after I will try to port it.

adding my thanks to leolas and fellow developers. This device would have been fairly useless without your roms. I even knew this when buying the qx1 and was relying on the experts here. You have made the qx1 something that now gets daily use by me and my family, and for that you deserve my

                    Hi Leolas

How are things coming along with the new rom and kernels?

I am doing them, but I found a problem, our new Rom use the reboot to install patches, updates, etc, and with my WiFi patch it creates bootloops
So I am working in a new patch to kernel sources, it will last a lot of time, so I am thinking about launch a new set of kernels, and the Rom without the WiFi workaround, do I understand that qx1 users need some love,WTF so much time without a new rom! Imito dont provide us updates, and we feel that we have a bugged Stick, for sure that next time I will not select any imito devices

                          leolas,

Thanks so much for the ROM... it's been running great since I flashed it. I got my QX1 on the 9th and flashed your ROM on the 11th... It's been rock steady with only a slight OC... I couldn't OC the CPU so I've only got the ram bumped up a bit. I may try OC'ing again later after the QX1 has had time to settle in a bit just to see if it can be bumped more in my case.

It is sad that Imito isn't showing the QX1 more support... they did a great engineering on the case so the CPU would stay cooler than most... and then just seemed to drop the ball once you and Bob worked on the ROM some.

I do hope to see what you ( and I guess the team ) have up your sleeve... it sounds like you are excited about it which means it'll probably make a lot of us happy also...

I was sort of surprised that Bob didn't get back to finishing off his version for the QX1 ( I think he mentioned working on the BT issue he was seeing )... I did see he dropped a new one for the QX2 so at least we know he's breathing still... lol. What you, Bob and all the other dev's do for all of the users.. is just great and I want to thank you for it... I'm sure most of us are glad for it even if you don't always hear it.

thanks for the support, is very frustating to send a lot of mails to imito and ask them about help to fix the problem, the only answer I got was just after they released the qx2, saying that soon we got some news, after that, no more contact, I sent them all I can find, the patch I made, Where I think the problem is, offer them colaboration if I can help them, etc... After QX2 was released, they didnt answer anymore.

For me the stick was not so bad, seems well constructed and assembled, but the hardware is bugged, the wifi chip has problems running in this plattform, A design fail? Maybe, but the most sad is how they let us without support.

Like I said before I will not buy any Imito product anymore. And I suggest all people do the same, what a great difference with minix or other manufacturers that support their devices for a long time, and work to solve his problems.
