Thanks for the reply. I did get a cable that came with the tablet that seems to fit correctly but as I said, no use whatsoever! However, ten minutes with a junior hacksaw and a bit of patience, success!!

        What did you do?
Did you trim a bit of plastic away from around the metal sleeve of the plug?

Yes, I took about 2millimeters off all round which did the job. I guess the port must have just needed that final bit of contact.

            Rookie problem

            Hi all,

this is my first message in the forum. My greetings to all of you!

I am trying to flash my Pipo M9, but i am facing a problem. It is the first time i am doing such an operation, that's why i am following the steps sequence described in the instructions. It seems though that there is something i might be doing wrong. As soos as i am opening the device manger (Pipo Usb already connected to WIN7 PC) the device is not recognized ("unknown device"). Then i am opening the "ROM_Flash_Tool_137" application and when i press the button "Reboot to flash mode", i get the message "Device can not do switch, because of no drive".
In previous steps: Micro-SD card is removed, USB mode is not ON.

            Any help on this??

            Thank you

On some Windows PC's, you won't be able to use the Flash Tool to get into flash mode.

In the ROM kit, there is a folder "alternate tool to reboot to flash mode". In that folder is the RKBatchTool.

Open it at the same time and see if you find the tablet recognized by a pink box. Then hit the "Switch" button. That will get you into flash mode.
