Has anyone successfully installed the Firmware present on the Geekbuying blog using the USB Burning Tool? In what way?

but very difficult!

I tried several times such about one week!
than one day it works!

the problem is connection/recognizing the Box against PC
and also doesnt matter yr PC-OS such Win7 or 8 or 10 !!

OTA is good and OK otherwise its very problematic updating with PC connection

and "nothing changed" after all updates! at least for me that there is no any effective change!
seems that Android-10 system does not worked well with this Box and "ROOT" situation unknown
and need proper Root!

yes bit tricky, but if you have April FW, then OTA doesnt work. After i flash it via PC i was able to get updates via OTA

Yes you need to update to get OTA two of them...

The tricky part is push hold reset and insert USB it will detect and Burn with ease

so,as we understand that first of all you have to flash yr Box with this 26/4 PC-Update
than y will be able to receive OTA updates respectively!

my first experience with this new sOC905X4 on Mecool KM6 Deluxe its not bad but I sold this Box even not liked!
A95X4 my second attempted and seems that I'll sale this unit too! Android-10 kinda not good/compatible and "Root"
is another story!

so shortly what is "905X4"??? its about 10% faster then 905X3 only!

previous model "A95X3" more stable and good with Andro-9

Need more 905X4 Boxes in the market in soon

So now mine is set up using the latest firmware 2021-06-16 and working with the 5 GHz WIFI not working bad as long as I don't add or change anything ....lol

I like your enthusiasm about this box, keep our fingers crossed it gets better... I did notice that there is no navigation bar on the bottom like the A95X3 has...

I have just received the two updates without problem. I had not previously flashed my device with PC. Just go to update app and click on "online update". Not sure why some people are saying you need to flash first.

Mine was the same way, I never flashed it before I got the two OTA updates either....

probably yours were shipped with newer FW...that's why u dont need to bother with PC update.

Anyway I ordered MeCool KM6 Deluxe, most probably will get this A95X F4 away, as i prefer android TV OS on multimedia center, easier/faster to operate
But first want to test both of them...

Strangely enough, I tried several times without success. I tested flashing a Ugoos box immediately afterwards and the success was immediate.

Ok I will try to insist then, if other people have succeeded it is possible.

In Reboot Options i did test Reboot
Worked
Tested Reboot to Recovery
Did not work

Boot to recovery(toothpick method)
Many options there...
including Enter Fast boot
So i did
I fastbootd

Bluetooth Pair to phone
Good

Bluetooth pair to Xiaomi Game controller
Good

In regards to Root.....
Strange some apps read as device is rooted/others not

Side load APK,s some apps are automatically sent to system/load as system app

Like Root would do

In Kodi when go to add source
Reads as split screen
Showing Root Side

Its like box is quasi/half rooted

Or something...

There is two reason 1-Android-10 2-Device need worked/stable Root!

1 chinese box with S905X4 is good for now (For Me)


In settings under services
Allow APKPure Auto install

Will help with compatibility issues sideload APK,s

Its system app likes to be the Boss
Most APK,s i sideload come from APKPure anyways

Screensaver I never use

However Have installed Hidden Android Settings APK
OLder Version V0.1 by Kasitskyi has no Ads
Newer Version from Playstore/APKPure bloated with Ads....

Both work
