I've modified rkpatchomatic script keeping all M7 stock CPU frequencies + 1704 MHz and discarded one intermediate (1200 MHz?) which never been used. I'm keeping in the table original voltages from stock kernel too.

This kernel is modified one from October 28th official stock ROM.
I have no other benchmarks at the moment installed. Probably will try later just for fun.

BTW, tried video sync mod just to test it as well once again and get a dark screen, seems that video driver is modified in stock kernel now.

until now, this kernel works fine for me, therefore i need some more details about this kernel.
          what script did you use?
what voltages does the cpu/gpu/ram use?

          edit:
          too late

put the kernel in the right directory, backup the original one by renaming it, then rename the kernel to be flashed to kernel.img
              start in flash mode
in rkflashtool untick everything but the kernel,
              klick flash -- automatically reboot

I'm using Linux GUI rkflashkit found on this forum. Windows users most likely can flash it using tool provided with Riley ROM. Just untick everything but kernel and do not erase IDB. However, in case stock recovery is in use it may format internal SD-card and data partition. Not sure as never used it this way.

For those using stock ROMs #6 and newer modified boot.img needed too. It should not contain embedded kernel.

Try to look in this thread, people have made a lot of work there. Not sure if there are many versions for M7 though.

I have flashing screens in several cases. I noticed it especially in apps where they play sound. For example TuneIn radio or Podcast addict.

I just released a new ROM today for the M9 Pro. v2.1.

The new ROM works on the M7 Pro tablet if you flash one of the M7 Pro kernels and M7 Pro recovery.

An interesting addition is a button on the button bar that will hide the button bar. Just swipe up from the bottom and the buttons return.

I've added two new features, myself. Thanks to my fellow developer 900Supersport. We've been testing his new kitchen app and thought they would improve things a bit:

                        1. After first boot, the system automatically installs CWM Recovery. It uses stock recovery to format everything correctly then flashes CWM Recovery in it's place. So you will notice that I've removed cwmrecovery.img from the kit (it isn't needed anymore).

                        2. You can automatically install apps (on first boot only) by inserting an external sd card with a folder named autoinstall. Just place your apk files in that folder. Make sure there are no spaces in the apk file names, or they won't install. Most apps install pretty well. Some paid apps, like Titanium Backup cause some problems if you try to install the key app this way.

Just remember to use an M7 Pro kernel. Since a kernel is embedded in recovery.img...I would also recommend flashing the M7 Pro recovery.img instead of the one for the M9 Pro.

I just found this out by accident and thought I would share.

I got a 19946 Antutu with the stock M7 Pro kernel.

Wow! Thank you Randy for this update but I have few questions before I try the 2.1 rom for M9Pro.

Is it necessary to change the M9Pro recovery to m7pro 2.1.1's recovery? What if I still install the recovery from the M9Pro and just get the kernel of M7Pro, is there a risk of bricking?

Please correct me if I didn't understand the process that I should do:
                          1) Rom Flash tool in M9Pro 2.1 > change kernel and recovery to m7pro's 2.1.1 kernel and recovery.

                          2) Reboot to flash > Erase Nand > Flash Rom

                          Thank you very much.

This is what I understand too.

I just received the tabled yesterday and rooted it today. ( bought it in china it cost to me 1056Y -> 130e ).
Stock rom is 2013.10.28.195622 ... after few test I got a black screen and I had to press reset so I'd like to update it with RileyROM. (M9Pro 2.1)

                              Here the question:
                              1. Any easy way to flash it on linux ?
                              2. change kernel and recovery -> file names (recovery/kernel) ? ( sorry I'm a kind of newbie )
If I understood I have to:
                              1. download both roms ( M7 and M9)
                              2. take kernel and recovery from the M7 and put it inside the M9 ROM
                              3. Flash with the tool
Sorry for my stupid questions ... but some little more details could help me a lot.

Thanks you very much for your work Randy !!!

Actually, the M9P recovery did work on my M7P. It is just safer to use the kernel designed for a specific tablet. That's why I recommend using the m7 recovery.

Be sure to erase IDB before flashing a new ROM version to reformat everything.
