I did have a couple of question, I see the Polaroid 701c Android 4.0 ROM is ready for download, is the problem with Gsensor fixed? I'm assuming it comes fully rooted, but would love written confirmation.The last question is this ROM overclocked? I didn't see it anywhere else so I thought I would ask before flashing my tab.

The G-sensor is fixed, I am having some issues with rooting, I'll have to work on that a bit. Also the rom has the market included, but the rom isn't overclocked.

I can confirm that the gsensor is working correctly now on my 701i (with TV-out), using the 701c 4.0 firmware by Shawn.

Glad it's working for you. I think there might be three models of the 701 that all have different g sensor configurations. I'll look into that soon.

Shawn, or others who have installed it, is this a debloated ICS or is it basically the stock 701i rom converted to work on the 701C?

A quick summary of the features of the different roms would help in the future...but I know everyone is busy making them! Some of us actually do read what we're getting before we use it.

It looks like the regular 701i rom.

What do you guys mean by "rooted"? I was able to load ES File Explorer, and remount / as rw without any problems - isn't the device pre-rooted?

Or do you mean using the SuperUser app?

The superuser app only monitors the actual su application in /bin or /xbin which can only be added if your tablet is rooted.

Hmm, after installing ES File Explorer, telling it to run as root in setup and remounting / as rw, I was able to download the SuperUser app from Google Play, which installed fine. After that I run the SuperUser app, went into settings and told it to check the su binary version. It updated it and said that I had to reboot to finsih the upgrade. I did that and sure enough SuperUser/su seems to be working fine....

Ok stupid question but I can't get my 701 to enter fel mode by holding the menu down to even try to flash the 701C_ICS rom. I installed livesuite, brought up the image using SelectImg and when I hold down the menu button and plug in the USB cable nothing ever happens. I also tried pressing the power button a few times while holding the menu button down. I'm sure it's something I'm doing wrong.
