I'm not a developer, and my english is very poor, i use your rom and like that. I want be able to get linux in our mk908. the two ways is loop linux in android and use vnc to acess linux, or boot linux with a proper kernel(probly replaced recover image). I not found a correct kernel image to boot linux in our mk908. I can easy use linux in android by loop image and chroot(Android deploy or Complete Linux Installer), the problem is the androdi kernel, by default system V IPC is not implemented, so aplications like firefox don't work. I not know if system V IPC is realy the problem. Finles, you can provide a android kernel with system V IPC enabled, or at least give your sources to try compile?? Anyone have linux sucess boot in MK908?

sharing the happiness
I have a mk908 V3. Upgraded from finless 1.6 to 1.7a today and I'm HAPPY. Of the three problems I had two of them are not resolved. HuluPlus now works out of the box. HDMI passthrough is now available. I tested it with a DTS video over DLNA. I still cannot sync my BT headset. Good job!

tapatalked from GalaxyS3)) You're australian :P You're right about the new proc... but at first it will all be the same issue as the rk3188 with no linux support and all king of issues installing linux on it. Will the price be lower than the same as the rk3188? I doubt it... honestly, performance speaking, I have absolutely no need for the rk3288... maybe in two years it will be different, but right now... I'm happy with my mk908 except that it's not running Linux.

I'm starting to think since I can't find anything about input lag on the MK808b I'll just stick with that model and get a USB-Ethernet adapter.

Man this is a vast improvement over the day one stock rom. I almost just threw this stick in the trash. I didn't want to sell it to anyone because I wouldn't wish this one on anyone. But I got to say Fineless Bob has got this one useable. All I bought the MK908 for was one purpose running XBMC and it couldn't even do that. With Finless 1.7a Rom this is now possible and on Wi-Fi without the need for Ethernet cable plugged up all the time. For this I am truly grateful.YOU THA MAN FINLESS
