One more thing I've done is rename phone.apk and telephonyprovider.apk in /system/app with a .bak extension to stop them being loaded as even though I have the WiFi only model "cell standby" was consuming more battery than the screen.

When I run Puffin Browser it tells me to turn off the force gpu rendering.
Will this cause stability issues with 2d Apps? Or cause more battery usage?

Removing "GPU rendering" when you use other browsers (like the stock one) make page scrolling stutters a bit.

How are all you guys formatting your micro sd cards to NTFS?

Got my pipo plugged into my windows xp based pc right now and the micro sd card is inserted into the pipo.

when i go to format there is no option for NTFS. Just to reformat as FAT32.

Hi guys, new to freaktab but have been watching in background for a while now.
I bought a sumvision voyager 297 (rebadged M6 pro wifi) flashed rileyrom 1.5 (thank you randy) no problems but now getting random freezes which require a pin reset which is a pain, so having read this thread I was going to flash 1.4.2. Is this the way to go or is there other things I need to try before reflashing ?
P.S The 1.4.2 d/l in archived roms doesn't seem to work is there a mirror somewhere please

You need to insert your card directly into the PC.

You can change settings in device manager to do this or use another tool like HP USB format tool:

Our tablets have not a clone of iPad retina display...
Pipo M6pro has EXACTLY the same Part Number:

I removed the battery and the P/N written on display is: KLMPK1564TPZZ , that is the same model used on iPad 3/4...

You need to use a root explorer, I use ES File Explorer and you can mount /system read and write in the settings.

WiFi model does not have a sim slot, only micro SD, mini HDMI, and micro USB.
